Oh we had that AOS interview alright...I am going by myself anyway he won't be around. I've already freaked out and calmed down a gazillion times. Now I'll just have to see what happens..

I hope you get you oat Ceremony soon.. That will be a good sign for Chicago. Still hoping for that late August travel :D

that's one good thing about the chicago office, they give you the oath appt letter right after the interview!

i think if everything goes well with your interview and no more documents needed you're pretty much joining the august oath wagon! :D

my IO said that schedule for august oath schedule is actually pretty much done, would you believe i have an oath sched reserved even before my interview?

that's one good thing about the chicago office, they give you the oath appt letter right after the interview!

i think if everything goes well with your interview and no more documents needed you're pretty much joining the august oath wagon! :D

Oh my..that's swift, after all the waiting for IL...works for me.

I had my interview today based on 3 years marriage, all went very smoothly and no problems. I was given the Oath letter at the interview and its for this Friday.

I will give more details on my interview shortly as I dont have time now, leaving the country straight away on business.

I had a successful interview this morning.

My appointment was at 10.05am and I got there at 9:40am. I should have went there earlier as it is on first come first served basis.

Anyway, long wait for me and the IO called me in around 11:10ish!!!

She asked me the Yes/No questions going through my application: your name is.. you live on...,your husband is..., your work .., your phone number is.., you went out the country in such and such date, have you ever vote or register to vote...

Then she said : I will now ask you the civics test questions:

IO: Who vetoes Bills Me: the President

IO: What is the supreme law of the land: Me: the constitution

IO: What's the capital of your State? Me: Springfield

IO: What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance: Me: The Unites Stated, IO: and...., Me: the flag

IO: What's an amendment Me : it's a change to the constitution

IO:Who did the US fought in WW II Me: Japan, Germany and Italy

The IO asked me to write down: The White House is in Washington D. C., which I did.

Then she said "you obviously passed the exam, we will scheduled you for Monday Aug 6th, is that OK?: (Me: *explicit* yeah :D...well I didn't say that but you know...

She handed me a piece of paper stating that I passed the interview and she was recommending me for approval. The whole thing must have lasted 20 min top.

I was so ready to justify my extended stay out of the country and what not...(3 and then 5 consecutive months out of the country during the past 3 years) She had a huge file of paperwork on me from beginning of the time, it looked like.

Some of the people who got their interviews earlier during the day will have their Oath this coming Friday. Don't take my word for it, but it looks like the earlier in the day you have your interview the sooner you get your Oath ceremony.

What a journey!!! Thanks to all of you ...

I had a successful interview this morning.

My appointment was at 10.05am and I got there at 9:40am. I should have went there earlier as it is on first come first served basis.

Anyway, long wait for me and the IO called me in around 11:10ish!!!

She asked me the Yes/No questions going through my application: your name is.. you live on...,your husband is..., your work .., your phone number is.., you went out the country in such and such date, have you ever vote or register to vote...

Then she said : I will now ask you the civics test questions:

IO: Who vetoes Bills Me: the President

IO: What is the supreme law of the land: Me: the constitution

IO: What's the capital of your State? Me: Springfield

IO: What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance: Me: The Unites Stated, IO: and...., Me: the flag

IO: What's an amendment Me : it's a change to the constitution

IO:Who did the US fought in WW II Me: Japan, Germany and Italy

The IO asked me to write down: The White House is in Washington D. C., which I did.

Then she said "you obviously passed the exam, we will scheduled you for Monday Aug 6th, is that OK?: (Me: *explicit* yeah :D...well I didn't say that but you know...

She handed me a piece of paper stating that I passed the interview and she was recommending me for approval. The whole thing must have lasted 20 min top.

That will be fun indeed, lol! I still can believe how fast you get your Oath ceremony after the interview in Chicago. One guy has his reschedule on the post. Of course, he had to wait an additional hour or so, but he got it done the same day.

The OC letter says "Please dress in proper attire to respect the dignity of the event (please no jeans, shorts or flip flops). Good to know. I had worn my jeans :D, but flip flops? That would be just wrong!

My husband went to interview and now he is called for reinterview on sep6th..he got Gc through employment...

25th July: NOA1 for N-400.

Well what do you know, just got the text and email update regarding my N-400.

OATH CEREMONY SCHEDULED.

Don't have the letter yet but it shall be soon. This is going to be an awesome bday gift from the government.

One last step and I'm done.

Oh and my ROC is still "pending".
