It was a long wait, I wasn't called in to be interviewed until almost an hour after my appointment time. The IO was neither friendly nor unfriendly, just business-like. I don't remember the questions, I wasn't asked to provide any further documentation (other than passport, green card, and driver's licence), and I was told that I was recommended for approval. I was also told to wait for a letter with the time and date of the oath ceremony.

From my experience I would recommend sending in a thorough and full set of supporting documentation when you first send in your application and the rest should be a formality. Good luck to everyone else still waiting, and congratulations to those that are now citizens!

Can our timeline be updated to show PASSED on 6/14?

*10/6/09 - sent I-751, priority mail and signature upon receipt....biting nails (when will NOA arrive?)

*10/8/09 - packet received at USCIS 10:22am

*11/5/09 - biometrics

*11/19/09 - email from USCIS stating approval!!!!!!

11/27/09 - Green card arrived in mail! wow, it's *over*!

3/15/12 - sent N-400 packet

3/21/12 - packet received at USCIS

5/8/12 - biometrics

6/14/12 - Interview Date!

6/14/2012 - Approved! Oath Ceremony completed!

Updating my status

I had my interview today.

I entered the building 5 minutes early at 11:45, and was on my way home by 12:05.

I cannot remember what the officer asked me to read or write. However, the questions were as i recall:

1. Who wrote the declaration of independence>

2. Name one state that borders Mexico

3. Who id the commander in Chief..

4Name 3 of the 13 original colonies

5. What is the political party of the President now

6. What are the two major political parties...

She said I would get my oath letter and have the ceremony in around 6 weeks.

Passed the interview !!!!!!!

I had my interview in Federal Plaza , NY my interview was schedule at 1:30 I arrived there around 1:00pm and the waiting began.... Around 4:15 they started shutting the fans the TVs I was worried they were going to ask me to come back. They called me around 4:35 pm it was a lady in her late 30's she said a dry Hello and I responded with a smile with a hello how are you doing then she smiled...... We walked towards her office she didnt let me put my stuff down and made me swear to tell the truth..Asked for my driver's license , social security card, passport , green card . Then proceeded with the civics

1. If both the president and the vice president can no longer serve, who becomes president.

2. What does the president's cabinet do?

3 . How many justices are on the Supreme Court?

4. We elect a US senator for how many years?

5. What did the declaration of Independence do?

6. Name one branch of the government .

What day is Columbus Day?

Columbus day is in October .

Then she proceeded to get information off the computer, she was filling out my previous names she spend like 10 minutes doing this. And then she made me print my name 3times on 3different pages and my new last name on my picture.... She then went over my application yes and no question when it got to any arrest citations and told her I have traffic violations she asked me if it was a DUI I told her no, she said no arrest I said no then she said no problem and moved on.... Then she gave me the letter saying that my application has been approved told me not to loose the letter and that I should get the oath letter within 3-4 months if I don't get them in 120 days to contact them.... The she walked my out and made a copy of my passport, green card and social and smiled and told me to have a nice day..... When I walked out there was nobody there and they were already mopping the floor......

P.S. I did notice a lot of people getting their oath letter after their interviews , I guess I didn't get mine since it was late......

Wow, congrats to you guys for passing the interview!! Hoping that the Oath letter makes it to you very soon.

PS My hubby had the Oath the same day, so the whole line should be complete and in red. :) :) I don't know how to do this myself....otherwise, I would. Can someone update for us?

*10/6/09 - sent I-751, priority mail and signature upon receipt....biting nails (when will NOA arrive?)

*10/8/09 - packet received at USCIS 10:22am

*11/5/09 - biometrics

*11/19/09 - email from USCIS stating approval!!!!!!

11/27/09 - Green card arrived in mail! wow, it's *over*!

Passed the interview today!!! :dance: :dance: :dance:

My interview schedule was 8:45am today at Weaver Place, Centennial Colorado. We live close to downtown Denver and traffic was a little bad going to Centennial, my husband and I was there 15 minutes before my time, thank god we made it on time. At exactly 8:45, IO called my name, and we went into the room, introduced herself, and asked me to stand up and raised my right hand bla bla bla, let me to sit and right away asked the 5 questions then handed me a copy of paper and she asked me to read the question, then gave me a piece of paper, and ask me write down the answer while she's dictating it. She started to ask me the questions on the application, those no and yes answers. Then she made a mark on her paper, and congratulated me that I passed, and i am recommended for approval, and i should come back on 1:30pm for the oath taking. It only takes 15minutes for the interview and the lady IO was sooooooooooo nice.

We went home and came back 30 minutes before the oath time, and a lot of people were there already when we came. At exactly, 1:30pm, all of us were asked to go in the oath taking room, 3rd floor. We were lined up, and there were 2 people collecting the green cards and one lady getting the paper and escorting us where to seat. The oath takers were on the right side and the guests were on the left side. The host let us watched a clip for about 30minutes before the ceremony began. It was touching on me specially when we take the oath and reciting the pledge, can't believe i am now a citizen of the United States, and most of all, my day with USCIS is over..hahahhahaha. Everything took almost an hour to finish and we were out there by 3pm. The host said that there were 36 nationalities in the room taking the oath. To all March filers that's still waiting for the big interview, just be calm and come prepared. As long as you review the 100 questions and disclosed everything on the application, nothing will go wrong. My 5 questions was:

1. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?

2. If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

3. There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them

4. What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?

5. What is the name of the Vice President of the United States now?

And the reading test is about the old city, cant remember the whole question, and the writing test which the Interviewer will give you and let you write it down the answer..was New York.

"People under 30 who entered the country illegally or overstayed their visas when they were under the age of 16 will be immune from deportation if they have not committed a significant misdemeanor or felony and have graduated from a U.S. high school or joined the military. They can apply for a renewable two-year work permit that won't provide a path to citizenship but will allow them to work legally in the country. Applicants will have to prove they've lived in the country for five consecutive years"

I know I am not the smartest when it comes to USCIS but this will not in anyway clog N400 will it? They say it will occur in the next 60 days tentatively....and some of us havent even gotten interview letters yet, talk less of bio!
