Two weeks ago, I got a yellow letter in the mail (NOT an interview notice) that said to bring documents to the interview. After that I haven't received actual interview letter. I am freaking out since people are saying after getting yellow letter, they get interview letter within a week. What has been your experience in this case?....How long after getting yellow letter, did you guys get an actual interview letter.

yes! very normal.. :yes:

they said USCIS normally schedules you for an interview around the 60 day mark of your bio..

but then again it depends on how busy your local office is too..

i think mine took about 7weeks after my bio before i got my IL.. :)

I got my yellow letter after a month from receiving internview letter. To be clear, I got my interview letter first and than the yellow letter. So I don't think there is any connection between yellow letter and interview letter. Atleast thats my opinion

that's weird, normally people get the yellow first then the IL..

did u check the dates on the letters?

maybe the yellow letter got stuck in traffic.. :lol:

I got my Interview letter first and then after a couple of weeks, i received the YL. I was scared too since I didn't have the required documentation with me. But at the interview, IO never asked me the documentation and approved my application. YMMV :)

that's weird, normally people get the yellow first then the IL..

My husband passed the interview today! He was approved! And there was a Oath ceremony ONE HOUR after the interview, so we don't have to go back again!!! :)

The interview took about 15 minutes.

For the history/gov't/civic, he was asked these 6 questions:

"How many US Sentors are there?" "If the President and Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes the President?" "How many judges are on the Supreme Court?" "Name one branch or part of the government." "What did the Declartation of Independence do?" "What does the President's cabinet do?"

He was asked to write: "Washington is the captial."

He was asked to read: "When is Independence Day?"

Study hard, and all will be fine. :)

YAY IT'S OVER!!!!!!!! Whoo hooo!!!!!!!

*10/6/09 - sent I-751, priority mail and signature upon receipt....biting nails (when will NOA arrive?)

*10/8/09 - packet received at USCIS 10:22am

*11/5/09 - biometrics

*11/19/09 - email from USCIS stating approval!!!!!!

11/27/09 - Green card arrived in mail! wow, it's *over*!

3/15/12 - sent N-400 packet

3/21/12 - packet received at USCIS

5/8/12 - biometrics

6/14/12 - Interview Date!

6/14/2012 - Approved! Oath Ceremony completed!

Congrats rheanick! What did the IO ask and how did your interview go?

Hi,

I could not remember the 6 questions but i could remember my 4 answers... George Washington, Jan Brewer (governor of AZ), Civil Right, Veterans and Memorial Day

Could not remember the sentence i read but i remember wring "the president lives in the white house.

Then i was asked the yes and no question from the application form.

I had to sign some papers, one paper indicates the official name that will appear in my naturalization certificate.

I was given a paper that says that i passed my interview and i am recommended for approval.

Im just waiting for the oath ceremony schedule.

I brought all required documents listed in our interview letter. The officer did not even look on any of documents i brought.

Interview was fast.

05/15/08: Filed for K1

12/01/08: Interview Scheduled for 9:00 AM at US consulate Chennai

12/01/08: Approved at 11:30 AM

12/04/08: Got the passport with the VISA stamped :D

12/09/08: Got on the airlines and arrived at LAX at 6:15 PM POE took 4 mins

01/27/09: The big day - WEDDING

01/28/09: Applied for SSN

02/12/09: Got SSN in the mail

02/17/09: Got Marriage Certificate

AOS

02/28/09: Filed AP, AOS and EAD

03/13/09: NOA received (AP, AOS and EAD)

03/13/09: Biometrics appointment received
