Asked me to wait outside for decision. I thought in my mind I am 100% approval, I just want to see the oath letter from the IO.

She handed me a letter check box " decision cannot be made at this time " I feel hopeless the moment I saw it

Now read about this check box on VJ, this is a time sucker. It is really a killing for me as I am going to use the certificate for my wife case F2-A. Yeah, I am really pissed :angry:

I am sorry to hear that. I am in similar situation in terms of waiting for USC to get family back into US. So I understand the pain. In terms of Interview or your past, was there any red flags? what triggered the IO to say they can't make the decision right now? If you know the red flag issue, collect some additional documents talk to attroneys and be ready to submit the documents to USCIS in case they ask for extra document.

Don't worry too much, the whole thing will be over soon. You will forget all these frastrustion in few months.

Congratulations Dedee, great news

Is there a passport office near you that you can make an appointment at to go and get same day passport? If so call and make an appointment for the earliest time possible, like 0730 in the morning and take with you a copy of your flight booking. I realize you wouldn't get in until the day of wedding, but at least you wouldn't miss it an you would be a US Citizen, so a double celebration.

As for changing your Oath date I have no answers, although I am sure others will have knowledge about it.

I passed my interview today too; someone please update me . It literally took 15 mins. The IO was very friendly and even offered some advice on expediting my wife's I-130 petition.

My biggest worry was being questioned about my 7 month trip to Ghana and continuous residence recently but she loosened up after I explained my wife's situation etc. She made copies of medical report and said she's recommended me for approval and I should get an oath letter from them within a few weeks. Thank you Jesus!

Any ideas on how long it may take to get an oath letter? I need to go see my wife give birth to our first child; she's due in 2 months. Hopefully, it'll all be well by then.

Maybe they lost the pictures that you sent initially
