Just quick FYI to everyone...I had my senator call the USCIS to check the status and I just spoke to the staff in the Senator's office. He called the USCIS yesterday and they have confirmed everything they need for my file is in place (finger print done, Name check done). It seems they don't schedule interview till you complete your 5 year anniversary. So they are waiting for my 5 year anniversary to finish to schedule my interview. So I should see an interview letter in mail after June 4th (5Year anniversary date). So I guess one more month of wait for me.

This is first time I am seeing officially USCIS telling they won't schedule interview till 5 year anniversary date. :bonk:

not all people are filing based on a 5 yr mark..

some people are filing based on a 3 yr mark, like me..

my 3rd yr was last feb 2012 and now my status says in line for interview..

hopefully, i get my IL this month because we're going to move.. :unsure:

also, it's normal for them to wait for your 3rd or 5th anniversary before they pay attention to your case..

The point I was trying to make wasn't about 5 year or 3 year..but rather USCIS process. You can always replace 5 with 3 and get same conclusion.

Also, the source was USCIS vs. what we have seen on the forum. I was glad to findout the collective wisdom of the forum was right and USCIS has admitted it. So I shared the news. I knew this has been speculated on the forum for long time, but I hadn't seen anyone getting official communication saying USCIS doesn't do anything till anniversary dates.

Goodluck to you and hope you get your IL this month before you move

Thats about the only thing we all can and will do...i dont even bother calling the customer svce anymore(very irritating)... once 30 days is up i am going to do info pass and inquire about my case...
