N-400 FILERS - MARCH 2012

I have just read through my NOA again and with the exception of the personal information all it says is that "Upon receipt of all Record Checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office".

There is no mention of having to take my BIO again. As part of my I751 process I only last had my BIO taken in August 2011 (9 months) ago and I am wondering if this part of my N400 process is being waived.

Does anyone else's NOA mention anything about waiting to receive BIO appointment or do I just have the same NOA as everyone else with no BIO mentioned.

I completed my I-751 bio about 10 months back but still managed to get a bio letter for N-400. :(

My NOA said the same "Upon reciept of you records......"

The BIO letter should arrive in about 20 days after you have submiited your application.

05/15/08: Filed for K1

12/01/08: Interview Scheduled for 9:00 AM at US consulate Chennai

12/01/08: Approved at 11:30 AM

12/04/08: Got the passport with the VISA stamped :D

12/09/08: Got on the airlines and arrived at LAX at 6:15 PM POE took 4 mins

01/27/09: The big day - WEDDING

01/28/09: Applied for SSN

02/12/09: Got SSN in the mail

02/17/09: Got Marriage Certificate

AOS

02/28/09: Filed AP, AOS and EAD

03/13/09: NOA received (AP, AOS and EAD)

03/13/09: Biometrics appointment received

03/18/09: RFE mailed

03/25/09: Biometrics schedule - Done [dint take more than 10 mins including the wait time]

03/27/09: Sent out required info with regard to RFE via Priority mail to Missouri

03/31/09: Request to expedite AP [ Travel Document]

04/02/09: AP Approved

04/06/09: Recieved Travel Document [AP] in the mail

04/13/09: Recieved EAC/EAD in the mail

04/25/09: Recieved Interview date for the 8th of June 2009

OK guys thanks, I guess my NOA is just the regular letter. I will wait and see whether I get a BIO appointment or not.

Update for Paadoggi please! Got Bio in mail 4/4/2012. Did an early walk in that same day! Guys go on and do the early walking. Was scheduled for 4/25/2012. Got it done today! Took literally like 6 mins!

I tried checking my NBC number today, still didn't work so I called USCIS, the woman there told me there is a glitch in the system which means my nbc will never show up on the USCIS website for me to check. I asked her what I should do and she told me I will have to keep calling them to find out what is happening with my application. She said there was nothing they could do and I just had to call or wait, I told her we live overseas and that mail here is very slow and I am worried I might an interview because of the mail being so slow, she pretty much blew me off and said I had nothing to worry about as N400 at Fairfax VA was massively behind and it will be at least 9 months before I get an interview, I wish now I had gone with the office NH instead of Fairfax, oh well. That's pretty much where it stands for me, I hope no one else has the mess I have had so far with this, it sucks.

Does anyone have an idea of how long it will take after BIOs to get interview letter? I know that Washington, DC DO is about 8.1 months in the average process but any guess?

USCIS are saying they are processing from May of 2011, that's a 10 month waiting list, I've been reading others saying it can be months before we get interview letters from Fairfax, VA. I would love to hear how long it takes you for you next step, I submitted my fingerprints with my application, but everything has been messed up for me so far, so I don't hold my breath for a timely Naturalization. Dont go to do an early Bio to the San Jose office. they are jerks there.

I went in requesting an early Bio because I had training scheduled at work on the day my appointment. I even took a print out of the email as a confirmation showing my training schedule(My company HQ is in Novato and I live 2 hours away so I will be leaving on monday and staying there for 3 days and won't have time to drive back to the bay area for fingerprinting)

The office had 4 people waiting and the lady (so called supervisor) wasn't willing to take me in because she can't have me sit and take space in the room, this was at 1:35 PM, she asked me to come back at 3 and try again and she will try an accomodate me.

I seriosuly doubt she will but, I am going to try again at 3:00 if not I will have to re-schedule..

Finally got my Bio done!

Timeline:

K1 - Fiance Visa

05/15/08: Filed for K1

12/01/08: Interview Scheduled for 9:00 AM at US consulate Chennai

12/01/08: Approved at 11:30 AM

12/04/08: Got the passport with the VISA stamped :D

12/09/08: Got on the airlines and arrived at LAX at 6:15 PM POE took 4 mins

01/27/09: The big day - WEDDING

01/28/09: Applied for SSN

02/12/09: Got SSN in the mail

02/17/09: Got Marriage Certificate

AOS

02/28/09: Filed AP, AOS and EAD

03/13/09: NOA received (AP, AOS and EAD)

03/13/09: Biometrics appointment received

03/18/09: RFE mailed

03/25/09: Biometrics schedule - Done [dint take more than 10 mins including the wait time]

03/27/09: Sent out required info with regard to RFE via Priority mail to Missouri

03/31/09: Request to expedite AP [ Travel Document]

04/02/09: AP Approved

04/06/09: Recieved Travel Document [AP] in the mail

04/13/09: Recieved EAC/EAD in the mail

04/25/09: Recieved Interview date for the 8th of June 2009

06/08/09: Interview for AOS at San Bernardino CA - Passed

08/29/09: Green Card Received

Removal of Conditions

03/09/2011: Filed for removal of conditions

03/18/2011: Received NOA1

04/18/2011: Biometrics scheduled - Early Bio completed on 03/30/2011

04/11/2011: Approved

04/15/2011: 10 Year Green Card Recieved

Naturalization

03/08/2012: Filed N-400

03/15/2012: Check Cashed

03/12/2012: Received NOA1

04/10/2012: Biometrics scheduled - Early Bio completed on 04/06/2012

05/11/2012: Interview Letter Recieved

06/15/2012: Interview - PASSED!

06/28/2012: Oath Ceremony

USCIS are saying they are processing from May of 2011, that's a 10 month waiting list, I've been reading others saying it can be months before we get interview letters from Fairfax, VA. I would love to hear how long it takes you for you next step, I submitted my fingerprints with my application, but everything has been messed up for me so far, so I don't hold my breath for a timely Naturalization. Good Luck to you :thumbs:

Oh wow. 10 months is way beyound the national average. They'll have to do something about it haha. Hopefully, things will speed up but I will definitely let you know. I just got a touch online and a text about "Testing & Interview" I'll rather get a status saying interview letter but staying positive.
