Hello,

Soon I will be sending I-130 for both of my parents. Before sending just want to make sure I am filling the I-130 correctly.

My mother never used her maiden name officially so in question no 7 which is asking other names used can I write N/A for that question.

Question no 17 says list husband /wife and all children of your relative.. for this question I will be sending both mom and dad forms together so is this the way to write: in mothers form write her husband name(my dad) and my sister name and in dad’s form write his wife name(my mother) and put my sister name which is their daughter.

Then question D 1 & 2 : If separate petitions are also being filed for other relative then give names of each and relationship? I am 1st time filing for my parents so in my mom’s form write my father’s name and state the relationship and do same thing in my fathers form write my mothers name and state relationship . OR shall I write N/A?

Other question Have you ever filed a petition for this or any other alien?

I have never filed for anyone as I just got my naturalization certificate. So can I answer NO..

Things are little bit confusing because I am filling for both of my parents together. IS it ok to send everything in one packet or make separate for each of them? I would like to put both of their forms together so that their case will processed together and they can travel here together.

Please let me know what you think?

On Q7, I would still put her maiden name in there- it will be on school records etc.

17: yes

D1&2. I would think you list the other parent.

You can send them both in one envelope, but both need to be a complete packet with all the forms.

the questions are self explanatory, one question one, it says are you filing for anyone else? yes, on your mom's i130, you put your dad and viceversa.

2 have you filed a petition for them before? No if this is the first time.
