Do I need a G-1145?

Looking through the guides and seeing this form pop up, I'm just wondering if its something that is best off including?

If so, which set of documentation should I include it with, 130 or 485?

AOS Journey

Day 0 - 07/10/2012 - AOS package (I-130,I-485, I-175) mailed to Chicago with FedEx.

Day 1 - 07/11/2012 - Confirmation from FedEx that package arrived and was signed for.

Day 3 - 07/13/2012 - Text confirmation from USCIS of receipt.

Day 4 - 07/14/2012 - Online banking shows that cheques were cashed.

Day 9 - 07/19/2012 - Received 3 out of 3 NOA letters in the post.

Day 11 - 07/21/2012 - Received biometrics appointment letter, appointed set for 08/07/2012.

Day 16 - 07/26/2012 - Completed biometrics walk in.

Day 56 - 09/04/2012 - Received text notification to state that my EAD has been ordered into production.

Day 59 - 09/07/2012 - Received 2nd text notification to state that my EAD has been ordered into production.

Day 62 - 09/10/2012 - Text notification that EAD has been mailed.

Day 64 - 09/12/2012 - EAD received in the mail.

Even though I filed concurrently, I treated both the I-130 and I-485 as separate applications and so included a G-1145 with on top of both applications.

I can attest, after receiving the emails that doing this is pointless-- both my wife and I received three emails for everything that we filed and not separately-- so in hindsight-- just filing one, right under the cover-letter of the first application will do the trick.

-Dec 2006: Arrived with an F1 visa

-Dec 2007: Met USC.

-Dec 2009: Got Engaged.

-Jan 2010: Fell out of Status.

-Oct 2010: Married USC.

-Feb 2012: Filed I-130/AOS

Day 0: 02/25/12: Mailed concurrent I-130/AOS Package to the Chicago Lockbox

Day 2: 02/27/12: Package arrived at the Chicago Lockbox.

Day 5: 03/01/12: Email acceptance confirmation received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765.

Day 13: 03/09/12: NOA1s received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765. Biometrics letter also received and scheduled for March 27th.

Day 24: 03/20/12: Email notification for RFE.

Day 27: 03/23/12: Hardcopy RFE received in the mail.

Day 31: 03/27/12: Biometrics completed.

Day 40: 04/05/12: Mailed off the RFE.

Since I filled out one for the I-130 (in my wife's name) and the I-485 (my name)-- I can say that in my experience, it really doesn't matter.

Pick one. It's only delivery confirmation, nothing to do with who filed what or if you included everything. US postal service delivery confirmation does the same thing. Well, I guess this tells you a human opened the mail and it didn't slip behind someones desk.
