To long_wait, I am also hoping that all those who are eligible for naturalization will do so and free up visa numbers for the rest of us However, I am not sure if we can assume that your first group is small - don't forget all the former F2Bs who were not allowed to get married while waiting for their visas. It's likely that many of them were in relationships already, married as soon as they got their green cards, and then filed for their spouses.

It's normal, I've heard of many cases where the case status never got updated.

i have certain bases for future prediction...but its upto us whether we rely on uscis data for number of receipt of applications...

i have monthwise information of filing....(but the filing includes all the family categories not only f2a)

AS we can see the filing in august and september 2009 is less...so we noticed a good 2.5 month jump....and this will continue upto march 2010.....then it will slow a bit means around 1.5 months or 1 month per month.....

so as per data i can predict the may 2012 cut off date will be 15th dec 2009...

Thanks for the data, very useful. I do wish they would give a breakdown of numbers per category.. Any idea why there's a big jump in March & April 2010?

My wife's PD date is in October. I'm curious since you seem so knowledgeable, when would you guess that it would be current?

I guess May 2012 pd will move until Dec 22 2009

I just hope soon we get to see 2010 and hope the movement is much faster for the 2010 cases...it will be such sigh of relief....

hi my friends my meaning was not to be dis heart to any one long time ago i think in july 2011 or august i read a topic from credible lawyer firm associated with immigration the just gave their idea that the volume of f2a filler is very very high after first half of 2010 because of very fast and like miracle movement of this f2a category that's why is quite possible the movement could slow after July 2010 but you are all right no one can predicted about it we are here to just give our opinion base on observation my felling are same with other because i am victim too of this stupid retrogression which happened in Jan 2011 my pd is may 10 2010 and case was completed on Feb 11 2011 i pray to all of those the are waiting of their be lovers and kids like me. hop fully my pd will become current on July vb or august subjected to continue this way of movement.

retrogression confusing so much and hurts to much.its painful because our life passing alone and empty.i hope we will see our loved one and kids soon.
