can some one guide me or share your inputs-- my kid got the visa but have wrong DOB in visa

The issue I had is my child's visa contains Date of Birth as "12-Aug-2009". My Child's passport has DOB of 08-12-2009 [which is really Dec 8th 2009 as per indian standards, but looks like US visa consulate mininterpreted date of birth from passport in american format].

Can you please let me know whether I should follow up back with US consulate, Mumbai to get it corrected before entering USA or can my kid enter US without issues and then get it corrected on Visa. Our DS-230 application and my kid's Date of Birth certificate submitted correctly reflects Dec 8th 2009; so its not fault from our side. Please let me know your thoughts.

My Wife & Daughter PD: June 2009.

Maybe,we just have to wait for the VB to be released on Monday so we could finally know if there's a movement or not. But if we based it from the past predictions' thread, no interview schedule, meaning no movement at all. It will definitely hurt because my PD is just 2weeks away which is October 23'09. Too close yet too far. OUCH!

Still am not satiafied or trust on that info untill Vishav, pilapila or other closest pd member receive their interview date.

DOS can forward the PD date for collecting fund. They just did with EB category for india and china for collecting I485 fees.

I am not putting any negative impact on this forum, definately I would also victim too.

I would let as it is untill POE. I would tell POE officer correct the birth date with showing original birth certificate. Actually visa wouldn't use for future entry since ur child receive ten years gc.

Hi All,

My interview completed at Sydney US Consulate and it was alright with some tricky questions

In the end all was good but I was missing couple of documents so officer took my passport and asked me to mail missing docs.

All documents posted now and waiting for some answers or passport in mail :)

Missing document:

1. Citizenship certificate (I was not born in Australia but I assumed having passport with me was fine)

2. Statement from my spouse asking reasons for not filing tax return for last 5 yrs.

Will update forums as I receive some answers.

Best luck to all waiting for interview letter....

Cheers,

Homer
