Expiration of the I-864

Will the I-864 I submitted expire if my relative's interview is delayed for any reason?

No, the validity of the I-864, I-864 EZ, or I-864A is considered indefinite; beginning from the date the sponsor files it with the National Visa Center, the U.S. embassy or consulate.

This is for few people as they are delaying their paper work in the fear that they will expire. Please see the DOS response above. So do NOT wait for your PD comes closer to be the current..Just send them when you are requested.

Yes, they will never ask you for the new AOS form. You might have to bring the latest tax return and W2 if you have filed a year before..

Hi,

my husband had interview today .The counseler officer asked him few questions ,which he answered right .After the questions he said you can go now .My husband was little bit confused so he asked the CO again what is next and the officer said again you are free and can go home.CO kept his passport and he did not receive any form stating 221 (g) etc .My question is what should I assume,is the visa approved or not approved as the CO did not say anything .
