Hello everybody here on Visa Journey! Our interviewed is scheduled to be on the 17th of April! Unfortunately that is the deadline for filing taxes for the year of 2011! I would assume they could start asking about the fiscal year of 2011 on the 18th of April hence the 17 is still within the deadline! Anyways, I've sent an e-mail to them (which I didn't get an answer for) and both me and my fiance are busy during the one hour the consulate accepts calls. We have tried but couldn't get proper information. Would anyone here on visa journey be able to give us some answer regarding it?! Which one is the last fiscal year for which our co-sponsor is require to provide Tax Transcripts, W2, etc.?! 2011 or 2010?!

Thank you very much for you time and have a nice journey!

-Matt

So how should my sponsor gather this documentation? She might not file (as she depends on the accountant to prepare the taxes first) until the deadline. Anyways there's no way to get transcripts for the year of 2011.

This would be the only time I would take in a copy of the tax return filed along with the W-2's, 1099's and other supporting documents as tax transcripts are not available for about three week after filing--if you file early. Filing in April it might take the IRS a bit longer to process the tax return given the volume of returns filed on the deadline. As long as you have 2010, 2009, and 2008 ready and the copy of 2011 I think you will be good to go. You cannot produce what you do not have and USCIS is well aware of the tax deadline date.

Good luck,

Dave

Ok! But her tax return includes a lot of things she won't probably list on the I-134 (since her income covers the guidelines) like "Brokerage Account tax form". Should she make copies of everything she sends to IRS or just the 1040 + the W2 is enough?

Thank you very much!
