I would like to start by saying that this Forum is an absolute blessing. You can read every official website available but nothing will give you the same real life advice and feedback like this forum will. There seem to be a few very dedicated people consistently helping the lost and in love out there, and I'm sure at the end of the process those who have been successful are extremely grateful...

What did it cost you guys to go through these boot camps @ USCIS/ U.S EMBASSY stages ?

In The Beginning;

$340 Filling Fee

FedEx Cost:$350

Local Flights for Medicals:$271

Medical Fee:$129

Police Report: $21

Hotel: $370 (4nights)

Feeding: ($111)

Local Transportation: $61

Interview:

Local Flight For Visa Interview : $271

Visa Fee $350

Hotel: $92 (1night)

Local Transport: $49

Visa Pickup:

Local Flight: $271

Hotel: $92 (1night)

Transport: $49

Trip To U.S

Flight Ticket:

$1,596

$25 for I-693

AOS

$ 1,070

FedEx $:22

Approximate total Cost: $5,272

ROC??

This list doesn't include flight cost for fulfilling the mandatory visit(s) prior to filling. It also doesn't take into account folks who may have been denied or couples who had to attend more than one interview or start a BRAND new petition...Its an insanely tasking process but worth every penny if the RIGHT partner is found...

ignorant me.. but wats the I-693?

I understand ur angle.. but at the end i think its better to spend than be denied.

lol @ ignorant me comment...you will soon get used to the terms. That's the form used by an approved Civil surgeon for transcribing the vaccination sheet {Form DS 3025} for adjustment of status.

Well, i think expenses varies depending on the location of the beneficiaries involved. Some wouldn't be paying local flights, hotels or very high transportation fees as regard the beginning down to visa pick-up. It's still all worth it irrespective.

Well, its all part of the process (which for the most part works). Imagine the rise in fraud and terrorism if you filed the petition for $25 and the next thing they did was to mail the visa to the beneficiary! :)

I agree. It all depends on the distance to the designated service centers prescribed by the embassy.

Not to take away from the validity of your point but several countries do just that including the UK...

I don't think S_R was "puting a price on love", but rather looking back at the journey from beginning to where he is now. I have done that many times myself....so to say it will not "end well" just for reflecting on the financial aspect of this journey is a little harsh. Anyways S_R nice post....you forgot the cost of having university credentials evaluated .

It won't end well for you or who? Every good thing in life has a price tag Hank_Amy ... it could be financial, emotional or even spiritual and the USCIS process isn't an exception...

Only by looking back can we really appreciate the tremendous sacrifices our partners have endured { and continue to) throughout this process. Do not forget that so many others even after everything never made it.
