It says to give a detailed account of your problem but I fear if I write a few pages of my story it will not be read.

What did you guys write for those that have written to their congressmen/women and gotten results?

Sub: USCIS receipt number WAC11xxxxxxxxxfor Alien Relative

I had filed a petition for my wife, Mrs. xxx, with a notice ofapplication received from USCIS dated 08/19/2011. We are approaching six months since the dateof application, and thus far have not received any word from CSC with regardsto the status of the said petition. Weare well over CSC’s normal processing time of five months.

May I take this opportunity to request you to kindly look into thismatter. Any help in this regard would begreatly appreciated.

I think everyone with over a 6th month wait needs to contact the USCIS Ombudsman

OLUInquiries@dhs.gov

USCIS Ombudsman Liaison

The USCIS Ombudsman Liaison Unit (OLU) is responsible for managing the flow of information between USCIS and the Ombudsman's Office. The OLU responds to questions posed by the Ombudsman's Office, coordinates and prepares responses to the Ombudsman's formal recommendations and annual reports, and facilitates the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that USCIS customers receive the best possible service.

To help improve customer service, we seek feedback from our customers, stakeholders, and affiliated agencies to help identify issues that directly affect you. Email the Ombudsman Liaison Unit at OLUInquiries@dhs.gov. Please explain your concern, question, or suggestion as clearly as possible. Regrettably, we cannot post any inquiries online if they have case-specific or personal information in them.

This is another email for ombudsman

cisombudsman@dhs.gov

How Can the Ombudsman Help?

If you have tried these regular USCIS avenues and have not received the information you seek, please submit DHS Form 7001 to the Ombudsman. We will look into your case and review how we may be of assistance.

If you have a comment about the NCSC or the above USCIS customer service process, please send the Ombudsman an email at cisombudsman@dhs.gov. Please note that the Ombudsman can request that USCIS review an NCSC call to further understand your inquiry, if you called the NCSC within the last 90 days. It is also helpful to have the date and time of the call, the phone number you used to make the call, as well as the ID number of the customer service representative or the officer’s name with whom you spoke.

For all other inquiries, please submit DHS Form 7001 to our office.

I wrote the same thing to two senators and a congressman and the only one who responded was the senator who had an opinion on legal immigration on his webpage.

I basically just said that I have some health issues and an infant daughter therefore I can't move to El Sal... I also said I called USCIS and they said I should hear something by mid-July (though my NOA1 is 12/5.......) and I told my senator this just is not acceptable. He wrote back and said he forwarded our letter to USCIS and I was assigned a caseworker.
