I just recently tried to validate my husband's passport with the sent I130 form and it looks like there is a discrepancy between those for the place of birth.

I am also in the process of getting a non avail cert and police clearance cert..

So my question is what should I state my husband's place of birth is on those?

POB on passport: Village's name in India he was born in

POB on I130: Name of the district his village belongs to

So should I follow the passport or the i130 in getting the police and non avail certificates?

2011/04/22 got married

2011/09/10 Mailed I-130

2011/09/16 Received NOA1 in mail

2011/09/14 Priority date on letter

2012/04/06 Received NOA2 text/email(thank god!!)

From this point forward, when asked where someone is born, use information consistent with their birth certificate.
