Fun topic!

There are of course things in here that I'm not so crazy about (especially super expensive health insurances and very bad public transportation system) but there are a lot of fun things too:

- Was thrilled when I realized post comes also on Saturdays!

- Banks are open on Saturdays

- Cheap gas!

- Roads are wide - so much fun to drive when there is space!

- Supportive vibe!! One time hubby and I were in this one museum and walked down the hill (mostly people visiting use a complimentary light train) and suddenly this one couple stopped us and just sincerely were telling us how great it was that we walked down the hill! I couldn't believe it, never have had people -not even people I know- congratulating me for walking down a hill:) I thought it was so funny and sweetly expressed the vibe in here.

- When you go hiking other hikers say "Hi" to you when walking by

- Kinko's office/Fedex office give you complimentary staples, rubber bands etc

- You can get free coffee at the bank and many times hardware shops etc have at morning time free coffee&donut

- People get all excited to hear your different accent (first I was little bit uncomfortable about it, especially as I thought my English is pretty fluent, but then started actually enjoying it. Also brings a lot of laughter when I pronounce words sometimes in a funny way!

- public toilets are often kept in a good condition

- art museums with art from the big names - just incredible

- and I really, really enjoy the nature and national parks in here!

...and of course the FOOD:

- Also I agree, INN and OUT burgers are so, so yammy!

- The bagels in Donk'n Donuts

- Buffets in Indian restaurants

- cheap fruits and vegetables

- cheap Domino's pizza

- Real burritos

- French vanilla and hazelnut creamer in dark roast coffee

- Trader Joe's supermarket has GREAT frozen rasberry and pear pie (made in France)

- Yogurt blend ice-cream (though I'm not sure how healthy "yogurt" mixture it truly is...)

- Indian, Persian, Mexican, Lebanese supermarkets and restaurants

...ok I'm hungry now!!!

It's good to think of the things you like about the US. Sometimes I miss home so much I just wanna leave, it's easy to forget the good stuff sometimes.

- Online Shopping. The shipping for so many websites is so much faster here. And there are most websites available to me too, like Zappos (no Canadian site anymore).

- The weather. I do miss the changing of the seasons back home, but the weather here is always just perfect. No snow or cold to keep me from going outside. Only rain, but we both love the rain! Because of the nice weather all the time, you see a lot of vintage vehicles out. Always so fun to see.

- How close the ocean is! When we're at, we're only a half hour away from the ocean, and if we want the really nice clear water (kinda dirty where we are), that's only a couple hours away.

- The scenery! So different. There are amazing rolling hills and valleys. I love the different trees. How you can grow different fruits in your backyard you couldn't in Canada.

I love the weather here for the most part. It's a lot warmer, we can go swimming in April well the ppl around here don't but we do. Oh and the white cheese dip in the Mexican restaurants. Can't find that where I lived, although I'm told someone opened a Mexican restaurant back home. Hope it is still there when we can go up I would like to test it out hehe. Dollar theater that is something that I never heard of back in Canada and no way was it going to happen in the SOO. I love having Peach, Nectarine, Plum trees and we just planted 2 Apricot trees this year in our back yard. Well at the moment that is all I can think of.
