What do you love about the US?

I think what we'll like about the US depends on where we come from. Having lived in Asia, I can't say "Wow, it's so cheap here!" But I do like how clean it is where I live. And also there's ALL KINDS of food choices here. Lots immigrants in certain areas too which is good.

Great topic Well I'm an American citizen and we are extremely friendly here. One thing about us is when we know someone is foreign or hear an accent we go crazy and want to automatically befriend them I lived in Scotland 2 for 6 months, and every single time I walked into a store at the mall or anywhere for that matter, and NO one would greet me when I walked in or would offer to help me. To us Americans here, that is soooooooo crazy, because in ANY single store u walk into you are greeted and helped beyond your expectations. I know you will miss your home, of course you will, I did so much and I was only gone 6 months, but trust me, you will love it here. Good luck!

ok, I was laughing when I read your replies. Born and raised here in New Jersey, I see many things that we americans do take for granted. Its just our way of life, and we don't really understand that we do have many extras. Myself, I never really found americans to be overly friendly, especially to strangers. I never was. Until I met my husband. I stayed away from foreigners, especially those from the middle east. But now, I do find myself seeking them out, and welcoming them to the USA.

There is one thing I favor about other countries.....the pace of life. America is all about "instant gratification". We want it now. I like the more relaxed countries.....I could never tell my boss...I'll come to work when I get there.....ha ha ha

Yeah....I would miss things....

I would miss going into NYC whenever I want

I would miss being able to drive to another country under 8 hours

I would miss buffalo wings....the ones I cook myself are better than those in the restaurants

Cheap clothes....jeans, shoes, jewellery, cars, houses, caravans, petrol, junk food,

Reasonably priced cruises - not that I been on one yet but Im getting prepared

snow

great internet speeds

great highways

be able to go over the speed limit without a bloody speed camera taking pictures of you

being able to drive around at night without a breatherliser straw being poked in your mouth

But If I moved back to Australia I wouldnt miss my husband cos he would come back with me.....We are married! Where we decide to live is up to us both....and we would always go to that place together...
