Everyone - Finally after more than six months, we got our I130 Approved! As i was leaving work today, i got a text message saying that my case has been updated. I quickly checked my mail and the uscis website, and both said that the case has been Approved in Post Decision Activity. I've been doing this checking daily for the past two months. Hang in there!

Wondering how long the remaining process will take.

Process at NVC

Process at the US Consulate in Bombay

I would think that it will take a month half to finish off NVC (Apr 15) and then another two months for the interview (June 15). So sometime around end of June is when I'm expecting wife to come here.

Thanks.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You're still at the beginning of March. It will take about a week or two for you to get your case number, but meanwhile, get your AOS packet as well as IV packet ready. Call up NVC every single day asking for your case number, and once you get it, ask the operator for the Invoice Identification Number. Once you have these two, get your wife to send out the DS-3032 email immediately, pay the AOS fee. Check in a day to see if the IV bill portal has opened up for you and if so, pay the fee. Once this is done, send in both your packets. Hopefully, this process should be over by the first week of April, and if you (us too, as we're waiting) are lucky enough, you could get an interview date in May. Keep your fingers crossed and let's hope for the best. The day is not too far when your wife will join you, and I'll be able to join my husband. Many blessings!
