My USC fiance sent package to NSC on the 20th September ,we have checked tracking number and it has been recieved ..but still no NOA1 .. a money order was sent instead of check and still has not been cashed

the day it was sent ,he read a post here about having wrong date on check ,and when looking at photocopy of money order realised he had put 2002 and not 2006 ,so we just kept our fingers crossed that they would cash it anyway or just let us know they needed a new one

But we haven't heard anything yet ,should we be worried ,or are there others out there waiting this long for NOA1 from NSC

There are others; it can take 2, sometimes even up to 4, weeks to get your NOA1.

Chin up.. there is quite a road ahead

We had a problem with our money order the first time we submitted our petiton - it didn't get cashed for some reason and USCIS didn't send us any kind of notice. We called USCIS after some time and they informed us about the money order problem. We had to refile. So... wait a bit more and call them.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
