I think a few years back you guys had it much harder then us these days. Your wait for AP was much longer. One guy (kokylolo) had his visa in hand after 104 days of starting his process just last week. He got his visa after 12 days. I think back 2-4 years ago people were waiting 9, 10-16 months on AP. Some of those threads just stopped so I do not know what happened to those long AP people.

I believe our wait is much shorter because of all the noise you more experienced women made to get your men over here.

And I just want to say thank you for all your efforts to make this process a little easier for those of us that came after you.

Also, I believe you had alot of cat fights because of the stress of waiting and not knowing where your future would be or when your future would start waiting for your husbands to get the visa. So, now we do not have too much stress since our wait is a bit less. Do not get me wrong any waiting is stressful and I am full of stress after 44 days of waiting in AP (poor me).

Again thanks to all of you older VJer's for all your efforts to get some changes in Egypt cause I believed all you did and complained helped future immigrants of Egypt

God Bless

And I believe Charles needs to be fired

(Just trying to start a fight!! heehehehe)

Oh I also wanted to say you guys did not have many timelines to study and see how long every step took back then. At least now alot of people fill out the timelines so we can see how long each step takes and not just be left wondering and worrying if we are the only one. I think for the 2011 filers they have about 40 full timelines or more filled out so future applicants can see when to start worrying!

Ok I thought of a question that I want the experienced mena wives to answer. First I have to give some details.

If my husband and I have a spat over something when I am staying in Egypt then it becomes a family affair and they feel obligated to have it resolved immediately at the table. I was not used to this type of resolutions to private issues. It made me smile throughout the discussion to have so many people concerned over our communication and understanding of each other.

So, what I want to know is if you have a disagreement with your spouse are you suddenly on Skype with the in-laws to help solve your issues from the USA?

When and does he ever get use to solving marital disagrements on our own?

Happy Saturday Mena peeps. Hubby and I got approved for a house loan!! Yeah!! (was very nervous but turned out over nothing) Now we've started the house hunting process. :dancing: Keeping our fingers crossed we find something in the area we already live tired or throwing away the money each month and tired of the nosey neighbors.

Ah that is good to know.

My In-laws are so sweet and wonderful. They always want everyone happy.

I pray they can come and visit us for long periods of time and then maybe I will miss our table talk enough to try to make an argument. lol

Now I will have to think of a new topic for tomorrow.....

I am thinking about what has everyone enjoyed making the most from their husbands country (food)
