hi guys quick question. my husband is getting his things in order to send in I-864 and he was going to send in 3years of tax return,but now realized he didnt get back a copy of his 2009, so therefore he has 2010,2011, can he send in just 2? or needs to be three years?

We sent:

- Tax return transcripts from IRS for: 2010, 2009, and 2008

- W2 copies from 2010, 2009, and 2008. (i think this also came with above transcripts ordered from IRS)

- Copy of 2011 Tax returns 1040X (filed as: Married Filing Jointly)

- Copy of 2011 W2

4) Tax Return Transcripts of: 2010, 2009, and 200 = [sent by IRS after ordering]

5) W2 of 2010, 2009, and 2008 = [Copies]

5) 1040x Tax Returns of 2011 (Married Filing Jointly) = [Copy]

6) W2 of 2011 = [Copy]

7) 6 most recent Pay stubs -

8) Employment Letter (signed by HR) = [Original]

Look up Ling Che guide for NVC, it has these information.

Also go to IRS website to order online or by phone calls to IRS automated ordering system.

I think it took about 2 weeks.

My husband and I have been total Newbs about the NVC part of this visajourney. We assumed the automated message when calling NVC was correct (as in, we'd get packages in the post). A few weeks later we realised that didn't happen so we sent our forms. Yesterday we got a checklist for husband (USC)'s evidence of relationship with co-sponsor (his father). He's sending birth certificate priority post today.

Frustrating and daft on our parts, but still hoping for a May interview.

As far as I know, London isn't backlogged or anything, so if you finish within the next week or two, you should get an interview for May. Or possibly even the end of April

NVC got my husband's birth certificate copy earlier this week. He called them today and they told us our case was complete and would be on its way to London. So glad that fannying around for a month and getting a checklist hasn't caused a delay - you could well be right Saylin. Now I need to look into getting my medical. I'm actually going down to London next week for a month...

I sent in my I-130 form that was recieved at USCIS on Monday 12th March, and then my husband USC residing with me in Australia, recieved this email (below) today. Pardon my ignorance, but is this my NOA1?

Dear Applicant/Petitioner:

Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number WAC129*******. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your application/petition. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your application remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your application/petition must be verified with USCIS.

Yes, that's your NOA1 stating they have your application on their desk, and so begins the long wait. This thread might not be too helpful for you as it is focused on the next stage after USCIS, but there should be a March I-130 filer thread. However, if you want to study the steps ahead you're in the right place

I went to the IRS office in my city and they were handed to me the same day. I also requested my father's and they sent them to our adress (we have the same address) and they arrived the next day.

I called today as well. At least this lady did not tell me to call back in 20 days! She said I should give them a few days to get the case in the system. So I say we should have our numbers by Friday....but of course we'll still be calling ever few hours until then!

Did you call NVC this evening?
