Thanks everyone this process has had both Good :innocent: and bad :devil: days but Vj Family has helped me keep it together this FAR :thumbs::dance: with your :help: not sure how sane i would have been :luv:

6/16/03 -Met

6/20/11- Married my Soulmate

USCIS: 161 Days NOA1 to NOA2

9/1/11 - I130 Mailed (USPS Priority)

9/2/11 - Arrived in Chicago Lockbox

9/6/11 - NOA1 via text/email (rerouted to California Service Center)

9/9/11 - NOA1 Hardcopy in mail

9/9/11 - Check cashed .... and the wait Begin

2/10/12 - NOA2...no whammies, pleaase, email only, no txt

2/12/12 - mother in law past.... She was an angel

2/12/12 - NOA2 Hardcopy in mail

2/13/12 - NVC rec' case ! No expedite, but I worked a few nervIes...

NVC STAGE: .......days from case # to case complete

2/13/12: NVC received case (information only given on 02/13)

2/23/12: case number and IIN assigned - gave email info to operator

2/24/12 :Paid AOS fee and DS3032 sent by email (auto response received immediately)

2/27/12: AOS fee PAID on payment portal, Fee was withdrawn from Bank Account. So,is PAID :-)

2/27/12: mailed AOS (USPS Express mail) & was told the NVC accepted the Choice of Agent but havent heard or saw anything different

2/27/12: Choice of agent accepted

2/28/12: IV fee invoice received by email

2/28/12: Paid IV fee

2/29/12: IV fee PAID on payment portal

2/29/12: IV package sent

3/12/12: IV package reviewed and accepted. AOS package not Recv'd

3/14/12: Case complete!

4/06/12 : Interview Date Scheduled for 05/31/12!

4/09/12: Case file sent to Dakar

5/18/12: medical

5/31/12: interview , ap asking for joint sponsor

6/12/12: APPROVED!!!!

6/14/12 : pick up visa!!!

Currently : waiting to pick up visa

P.O.E. :

6/15/12:JFK to ATL

6/16/12 : MEM to ME !!!

hi guys i have to do the DS-230 because i am the beneficary, do i have to send it with DHL? and does it have to be overnighted? thabk you

You can send it whichever way you want. But I'd suggest going with something safe and offers delivery confirmation so you can track it and know it arrived safely.

02/28/2012------- DS 3032 ( choice of agent ) emailed to NVC

03/02/2012------- DS 3032 returned to beneficiery

03/02/2012------- DS 3032 resent to NVC

03/05/2012------- AOS fee bill shows " PAID"

03/07/2012------- DS 3032 accepted e-mail by NVC

I have a question if someone can direct me to the proper thread, or maybe answer here.

Does anyone know what kind of questions are asked to the beneficiary during the interview? I'm just wondering if they get really detailed about information (such as "what is your husbands work address?" or random questions of that type that one would have to study and memorize).

USCIS: (189 days)

8/05/11 --- filed for I-130

8/08/11 --- NOA1 I-130 mail letter received

2/22/12 --- NOA2 (I-130) Email & Txt msg

2/25/12 --- NOA2 (I-130) mail letter received

NVC: (51 days)

3/08/12 --- Received NVC case #, IIN # from operator

3/08/12 --- Beneficiary's and Petitioner's e-mail address added to the case

3/12/12 --- AOS bill invoiced and PAID (Payment status: IN PROGRESS)

3/12/12 --- Emailed DS-3032 from beneficiary's e-mail account

3/13/12 --- AOS bill appears as PAID

3/13/12 --- Printed AOS bar-coded sheet and copy of invoice showing "PAID"

3/20/12 --- DS-3032 AOS Update - IV bill invoiced and PAID (Payment status: IN PROGRESS)

3/29/12 --- AOS package mailed via Fed-Ex

4/02/12 --- AOS package delivered to NVC via Fed-Ex

4/04/12 --- AOS reviewed and accepted

4/23/12 --- IV package mailed via Fed-Ex

4/25/12 --- IV package delivered to NVC via Fed-Ex

4/27/12 --- NVC Case Completed

Anywhere from a couple of days to a week or so. Not terribly long.

Does anyone know what kind of questions are asked to the beneficiary during the interview? I'm just wondering if they get really detailed about information (such as "what is your husbands work address?" or random questions of that type that one would have to study and memorize).

Here's a LONG list of possible questions (gathered from other VJ members): http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Consular_Interview_Questions If the beneficiary knows the answers to all these, then there should be nothing to worry about. Now, the length and subject matter of the questions differs by country. Some only get asked a handful of questions (I was only asked two at my interview: where does my husband live and how did we meet), whereas there are a few countries where the beneficiary gets grilled for hours. I don't believe Russia is crazy like that, but I'd suggest you look into the regional forum and/or look up fellow Russian members and read their interview reviews on their timeline. This will help you greatly to prepare for the interview.

I dont know about others but i will mamories whatever on my I-130 PACAGE Has.My husband's friend's wife had been asked during the interviw 'Where did ur husband live during 20--- year?','Which uni/college ur husband went during 20-- year??' She couldnt answere and had been rejected.

So it better to be prepared than sorry.

So it better to be prepared than sorry.

Those are pretty basic questions though if you know your spouse.

But yes, you should always be prepared. My VJ motto: It's better to be slightly over-prepared than slightly under-prepared.

14March2021, 1522CDT. No Interview date set. :(

They're telling me again that "We're sorry sir, but there is no chance for an interview in April."

Glad you're OK anyway. Hubby had a blow out on the highway recently and we wondered about replacing it as that would save having to re-import 2 cars. But we did get it repaired. Car shopping is such a pain as there is too much choice and then how good is a second hand car etc etc.

6February2012 - NVC GUZ case number assigned - Attempted to OPTIN to EP.

7February2012 - NVC GZO (EP) case number assigned

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process

9March2012 - Case Complete Email - END NVC PROCESS

15March2012 - Interview Scheduled: 18April2012 (Document turn-in: 17April2012)
