so i just send a copy of the entire packet to nvc and one to my husband, but the one to my husband will include the 2011 taxes for his interview?

Yes. And if possible, depending on the time frame, try to get the tax transcript for 2011 as well. Most consulates/embassies prefer tax transcripts over tax returns and W2s, just like NVC.

a Van LOL? OMG it's funny how mentality changes once a guy is married.

plane ticket for her will cost me 900-1200 bucks, one way trip. and it does look like it'll be around $1200 based on high season period.

A van!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! hahaha...

The Crossfire is a little two seat sports car, which I'm keeping and will fix later. We're just looking for something with four doors (probably) and a trunk.

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process

9March2012 - Case Complete Email - END NVC PROCESS

15March2012 - Interview Scheduled: 18April2012 (Document turn-in: 17April2012)

Actually I received the invoices too. Everything sent to one of us was CC'd to the other.

They will accept the regular W2s though, correct?

I have Transcripts for previous 2 years but for 2011 there will not be enough time for IRS to send me a transcript.

8/08/11 --- NOA1 I-130 mail letter received

2/22/12 --- NOA2 (I-130) Email & Txt msg

2/25/12 --- NOA2 (I-130) mail letter received

NVC: (51 days)

3/08/12 --- Received NVC case #, IIN # from operator

3/08/12 --- Beneficiary's and Petitioner's e-mail address added to the case

3/12/12 --- AOS bill invoiced and PAID (Payment status: IN PROGRESS)

3/12/12 --- Emailed DS-3032 from beneficiary's e-mail account

3/13/12 --- AOS bill appears as PAID

3/13/12 --- Printed AOS bar-coded sheet and copy of invoice showing "PAID"

3/20/12 --- DS-3032 AOS Update - IV bill invoiced and PAID (Payment status: IN PROGRESS)

3/29/12 --- AOS package mailed via Fed-Ex

4/02/12 --- AOS package delivered to NVC via Fed-Ex

4/04/12 --- AOS reviewed and accepted

4/23/12 --- IV package mailed via Fed-Ex

4/25/12 --- IV package delivered to NVC via Fed-Ex

4/27/12 --- NVC Case Completed

Plane ticket is over 1000USD...

There are two factors making it expensive.. the first is it is a Chrysler Crossfire so nothing is cheap for that car. The cost of new tires and at least one new wheel exceeds the cost of the car payment for the new car. And... well I need a bigger car anyway.

Glad you're OK anyway. Hubby had a blow out on the highway recently and we wondered about replacing it as that would save having to re-import 2 cars. But we did get it repaired. Car shopping is such a pain as there is too much choice and then how good is a second hand car etc etc.

You can either send in the AOS or IV package first, doesn't matter which one. NVC will review whatever they receive. Or you can send them together. As long as NVC gets them, they don't care.

And as for who sends the IV package, again, up to you, either the petitioner or beneficiary. NVC will accept it either way.

They will accept the regular W2s though, correct?

If you don't have a tax transcript for 2011, that's fine. Just make sure you send ALL of the following: tax return (1040 and all schedules) and W2s.

NVC received our case from USCIS on Monday 3/12/12. Based on other recent timelines it would seem it is taking the NVC about 7-10 days from the time they receive the case from USCIS to assign a case number and IIN. Does that sound about right?

06/10/11 - Married

USCIS: (224 days)

07/22/11 - Mailed I-130 petitions for wife and step-daughter

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

02/28/12 - Responded to RFE for both(received by CSC on 2/29)

03/02/12 - NOA2 for both(received hardcopy on 3/8)

NVC: (37 days)

03/12/12 - NVC Received both

03/21/12 - NVC case number and IIN received for both & Emailed Choice of Agent for both

03/23/12 - AOS bill invoiced & paid for both

03/26/12 - AOS bill shows paid & AOS Packets mailed for both

03/27/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for wife (sent another for step-daughter via email and express mail)

03/28/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for step-daughter & IV bill invoiced & paid for wife

03/29/12 - IV bill shows paid for wife & IV bill invoiced & paid for step-daughter

03/30/12 - IV bill shows paid for step-daughter & IV Packets mailed for both

04/04/12 - IV Packets reviewed. Checklist issued for Divorce Decree for my wife. Step-daughter's was accepted and her case closed

04/10/12 - Divorce Decree accepted after supervisor review & wife's case closed

04/16/12 - Expedite requested for both cases due to NVC error

04/18/12 - Expedite request approved for both cases and sent to Santiago Embassy

Embassy: (15 days)

04/24/12 - Embassy received both cases from NVC

04/25/12 - Wife went to Embassy for document review. Interview date assigned for both cases.

04/26/12 - Medical Exam for both. Result - approved.

05/07/12 - Interview date for both. Result - approved!

05/09/12 - Received both Visas

05/16/12 - POE Atlanta

Does beneficiary need Interview letter to get Medical done? can they do it now and get it over with?

or does it differ with each country?

NVC received our case from USCIS on Monday 3/12/12. Based on other recent timelines it would seem it is taking the NVC about 7-10 days from the time they receive the case from USCIS to assign a case number and IIN. Does that sound about right?

The time fluctuates a lot so i would suggest you call daily because you might get NVC case # today or tomorrow!

There are a few countries that allow advance medicals (the Philippines, UK). I don't think India is one of them, so yes, you'll need the interview letter. To confirm though, look around the regional forum for India to make sure (I could be wrong).

Im not sure the specific date because mine was sent to Rio due to an expedite request. I have to finish updating my signature :)

04/11/2012---- Visa issued and Passport stamped received ( US Consulate Casablanca, Morocco)
