IV Package? DS-3032? What?

These are two seperate things.

Once the DS-3032 is added to the casefile,

the IV Fee Bill is showing on the online payment portal,

then

ONCE the IV fee bill is marked PAID,

the IV packet is sent off to NVC.

One NEVER, EVER, sends in the DS-3032 with the IV packet.

It just isn't done.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

What does the heart mean? Number of posts?

Yeah I think so! The more the you post, the more blue squares you get, and when there's no more space for squares, then you get little (L).

I have a question. I could swear I read it somewhere, but I can't find it! My husband is in Syria. The embassy in Damascus is closed. It appears that the interviews are being handled in Amman, Jordan. Does anyone know how I can have it transferred? He has family in Beirut, Lebanon. Is there any way of requesting his interview be done in Lebanon?

Yes, I just got to the NVC stage, but I want to make this request as soon as I can, so I can let him know.

If you don't get a satisfying answer from the operator the 1st time you call, don't be afraid to call again. Operators have very little knowledge about the process. Just demand to speak to a supervisor.

Hello!

Our AOS and IV packages were sent to NVC on March 5th (from within US), I called today to check if they had been received/reviewed, and the operator told me nothing is showing up on the computer indicating that the packages were received (then the "allow 20 business days for mail to arrive" answer, as if mail was being sent on horse).

Seeing the speedy arrival of the packages to NVC by postal mail, question is, should I be calling more or is this normal??? I'm starting to get to the point where I find it difficult to discern between "hysterical with a reason" or "unnecessary hysterism" on my part). Ufffff....

Thank you as always for your help and advice!!!

What does the heart mean? Number of posts?

Yup. Interesting (and short) wiki to read: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/VisaJourney_Member_Ranks

Saylin,

Since many of us, including myself have emailed DS-3032, do we have to mail the actual DS-3032 form in the IV package?

or

once we get DS-3032 accepted email from NVC, we don't include it then in the IV package?

hmmm

Keep in mind, to send the IV package, the IV bill has to appear as PAID in the payment portal, and to show PAID, you have to pay the bill, and to pay it, it has to be invoiced, and to be invoiced, the DS-3032 has to be accepted. Thus, no, the DS-3032 won't be sent with the IV package.

If you email the DS-3032, that's sufficient. No need to repeat yourself and mail the same form that's already been accepted.

I just called and they said my case was received on March 5th. The operator said the call back in 10 days.

I'd say call again later tonight. Give them 12ish hours to work on your case :P

Keep in mind, an operator won't know your packages are in the building until they're being reviewed. It'll probably be reviewed this week if they were sent March 5th. Do you know when they arrived from your postal carrier's delivery confirmation?

Just keep calling once a day. That's sufficient.

Thank you Saylin for the answer. I'm attempting to acquire the tracking number from my lawyer, since she's the one who sent the documents. As soon as I get this information, I'll have a better estimate of when the review should begin.

I'll keep calling once or twice every day anyhow.

Okay, a little confused because of what the NVC operator told me.

I have my case #, my invoice ID #, and beneficiary ID #. Great.

However, when I log in to NVC Payment portal I can't pay. Okay, I get that.

Now, I read on Saylin's FAQ Guide that I should go ahead and send my DS-3032 by e-mail, or in my case (since I'm Mexico and they do online processing) to fill out the online DS-261 found online. Now I can't fill out my DS-261 when I go to http://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx . It says, "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error."

Does this mean that I can only proceed once I am able to log into that address? And this only happens once my e-mail invoice has been processed? Or can I just bypass this and send in the DS-3032 via e-mail skipping the online DS-261 form?

Thanks!
