We'll most likely have our IV payment completed on Monday after which I'll be sending my package. Our AOS package has been received but not approved yet.

Any ideas on when I can expect my CC? And the time between CC and getting my interview date? I assume my interview will be about a month from CC.

For electronic processing cases, do we select our interview dates?

Trying to figure out how much time left till I'm out of here as I need to give my job a month's warning.

Sorry to throw this question out in this forum but maybe I could get some help from you guys or perhaps you could guide me in the right direction. As many of you, I will be very soon approaching the end of the NVC stage (Thank God!)...

Is there anywhere I can find out the average time it takes for the Embassy in Colombia to assign an interview date once my case is closed at NVC?

I know this is a very specific question for COLOMBIA but it has been kind of hard for me to find people in VJ going for a CR1/IR1 in COLOMBIA. Most applicants I see from COLOMBIA are going for a K1 Visa (which is a completely different game). Any comments are greatly appreciated.

The only thing you can do is look at the recent IR1/CR1 cases for Colombia and see how long they waited. More important than how long it takes for an interview to be scheduled, imo, is the average waiting time between the scheduling and the actual interview. Depending on the countries it can be a few weeks or several months.

:ot: Oh mon Dieu, I have a little heart in the blue square under my avatar!!

You'll have to check other timelines, but we had 1 week from case complete to the interview assignment and then 6 weeks from the assignment to the actual interview (Tuesday!).

I'm in the same boat. There are only a handful of other people from Paraguay on VJ. Unfortunately the best way to find out about interview dates is to compare with other members in your country. Is there any information on the Embassy in Colombia website?

Oops, missed this: CR-1/IR-1 interviews are assigned by NVC for Montreal, so you don't get to pick the date.

Balls! Thanks for your help though :P

So let's say:

March 23 - CC, assuming NVC needs a ~week to go over my packages

March 30 - Interview assigned

Middle of May - Interview time

That would be perfect, if only that's how it will play out, haha. I have a feeling the time to review both our packages will take longer than I'm guessing though.

Mine arrived last Monday and it was reviewed on Wednesday. You can start calling as soon as you want but it'll take them a day or 2 to enter it into the system and review the package. Congrats and good luck!!

hi there, i tried paying the bill online, but it only shows the one 88 dollar fee the IV fee is still not up, do i have to pay both at once, i thought that one depends on the other, and i can't get the iv bill till i pay the AOS fee?

this is what i get...

...

i select the 88 and it won't let me pass...

i should also add that my husband has not sent the Change of Agent form yet, can i pay before he does this? I was invoiced via email so I know I should be able to do this...

The IV bill will NOT be invoiced until the DS-3032 has been sent AND accepted. Until then, you'll only be able to pay the AOS fee.

As for paying the AOS fee, make sure you're using IE. Other browsers cause problems when using government sites.

Sorry to throw this question out in this forum but maybe I could get some help from you guys or perhaps you could guide me in the right direction. As many of you, I will be very soon approaching the end of the NVC stage (Thank God!)...

I used a feature here on VJ to help me create a spreadsheet and track cases. At the top ribbon of the page, click 'Immigration Timelines', then 'IR-1-CR-1 Visa Timelines', then choose your country from the drop-down list. Or click here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op7=Colombia&dfile=No&adv=

If you can complete the DS-260 and send the IV package on Monday, it's quite possible to get a CC by the week after (week of 19th). Then, for Canadians, it's usually two months from CC to interview date, so you should get an interview for sometime in May, I'd guess.

And doesn't matter if you're doing EP or not, NVC schedules the interview (95% of the time, some countries are different) for IR-1/CR-1 applicants.

The only thing you can do is look at the recent IR1/CR1 cases for Colombia and see how long they waited. More important than how long it takes for an interview to be scheduled, imo, is the average waiting time between the scheduling and the actual interview. Depending on the countries it can be a few weeks or several months.

Hehe, congrats! kicking.gif I was excited when I got my first heart too ;)

Yes, I just got to the NVC stage, but I want to make this request as soon as I can, so I can let him know.

I'd suggest calling up NVC tomorrow and asking about that. Not sure if you can request a change, but perhaps with what happened in Syria, it might be possible. If the operator can't help you, then ask to speak with a supervisor. Good luck.

I'd say you can start calling a few hours after it arrives at NVC ;) But don't expect to hear much until later in the week, earliest mid-week. Unless you get extremely lucky laughing.gif

Sorry, they are parallel, independent tracks/streams.

IV Fee Bill availability is contingent upon the DS-3032 added to the casefile.

IF the USCitizen Petitioner has received the AOS FEE BILL via email, then should be able to pay at the portal. If that's not the case, then something is wonky - try again in 2 days.

Sorry to throw this question out in this forum but maybe I could get some help from you guys or perhaps you could guide me in the right direction. As many of you, I will be very soon approaching the end of the NVC stage (Thank God!)...

Click the flag under yer name - this drops you to the Columbia Portal.

Study the left panel, click on the visa type you'd like to see timelines on,

then study it, changing the order of sorting on the NOA-2 column...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Saylin,

Since many of us, including myself have emailed DS-3032, do we have to mail the actual DS-3032 form in the IV package?

or

once we get DS-3032 accepted email from NVC, we don't include it then in the IV package?

hmmm
