I just got a false checklist for the IV package even though both were sent on the same day (in separate envelopes). Strange.

My AOS package was reviewed and accepted though! :thumbs:

Hello, I got about 9 checklist total..lol. I called NVC after the first one and asked, "What's up with this??" They said, "Don't worry about those, the computer sends those out automatically when they recieve the AOS and not the DS-230, or DS-230 and not the AOS." So I just collected them and put them in a folder.

Nice!! When did you call? Should I call now? Nevermind I will call late today or tomorrow. I just noticed you are ahead of me by a day.

Call today! My mom has been calling the AVR every other day for me because I live overseas and it's expensive to call the US. The message said that the checklist was issued yesterday (03/07) so that's when I called an operator to see what was up. It wouldn't hurt to call today.

Take your time and review your IV package, don't get excited. I was about to forget my marriage certificate when I sent it Tuesday night :wacko: . Congrats.

Yikes that would have been bad! I actually sent the IV package at the same time as the AOS package, they just haven't entered it into the system yet. I reviewed it many times before I mailed it as mail takes about a month to get from here to the US; I really don't want to have to resend anything.

I just got a false checklist for the IV package even though both were sent on the same day (in separate envelopes). Strange.

The same thing had happened to me: one day an operator confirmed my IV package was under review, and the next day, I received the checklist. I called an operator to make sure it was the false checklist, and that's when I learnt that my case was complete!

CR1 Visa

USCIS STAGE: 16 days No expedite request but USC residing abroad
NVC STAGE: 19 days from case # to case complete
03/27/12: interview at Paris embassy - APPROVED
04/12/12: POE San Diego

ROC
01/15/14: sent I-751 application

05/14/14: received card production notification by e-mail, approval date 05/13

Naturalization

02/01/24: N-400 submitted online; Biometrics reuse notice received immediately online; "case being actively reviewed" after a couple hours

02/09/24: received NOA1 by mail

02/10/24: received biometrics reuse notice by mail

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

05/14/24: approved at interview, same-day oath ceremony in San Francisco 🥳 🇺🇸

 

Passport

06/10/24: application submitted at post office for passport book and card, paid for expedited processing and shipping

06/24/24: received email notification that passport was approved, then shipped with tracking number

Yes, twice a day, every single day. And it's the standard response. Please give it 15 to 20 working days from the date of receipt at NVC!

That's a more or less generic response they'll give for anything relating to time. I'm fairly certain if you asked what time the Sun will come up tomorrow they'll tell you '20 business days'. :lol:

I wouldn't put too much stock in that answer from them. :)

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process
