I get to be 'negative' and worry here so that I am positive and 'everything will be fine, no problems!' to the wife....

While admitting that I am biased, if GUZ actually reads at our evidence (presuming USCIS didn't drop it on the floor) we really ought to be fine. Lord knows I sent them enough. On the other hand, it is always my worry that they won't bother to really read it (and merely glance at it) or that USCIS just dropped it on the floor and GUZ doesn't even get it. Since GUZ is famous for refusing all evidence at the interview it would mean we'd have nothing but the basic forms, the pictures they'll ask for, and my passport showing a lot of trips as evidence. Needless to say, at GUZ that would be a disaster and would practically guarantee a denial. Sue will have a full copy of all the evidence sent in at the start just in case, though it isn't likely they would accept it if it didn't come from NVC in the first place.

Well then it's OK to be negative here.

We (or specifically hubby) haven't got a US domicile yet, so I'm just hoping the Con Off accepts what we do get. Oh and to add to the fun - Air Canada is threatening to go on strike on Monday.

You not need to pay AOS for daughter - I'm sorry you missed that, in it's entirety. For two or more ppl at NVC, it's only ONE AOS fee of 88.

Since you could see the AOS fee bill on the daughter, I'll suggest to you that the two casefiles are NOT married up yet, at NVC. The humans you spoke to at NVC were wrong, you have to ask for it, specifically.

Coming up, you have 2 more data re-homes:

1. GZO number on the daughter

2. TWO CASEFILES married up together.

Don't be surprised that your processing time will take 2 or 3 extra weeks on this - and that's OK.

Yuck. I was so anxious to finally receive AOS bill for my step-daughter, I couldn't resist to pay for it :-). Then I went to the forum to see your reply, that sinking feeling. I also got daughter's DS-3032 approved to point me as the agent, which is good news.

I was too trusting in my previous call to NVC. I believed that lady's words. I just got off the phone with another NVC staff. Yes, I asked specifically to join up those two cases together. He pulled those two cases, and told me that they will work on the case. I will expect to hear from them in 10-15 business days. As for the extra $88, I could ask for a refund whence they start to process these cases.

I sent both i-130 to them at the same time. I received approval letters in the mail on the same day. I thought they'd put them under one case. Man, I assumed too much. Is that too much to ask for from these government agencies?

As people have asked how big their AOS and IVs were: the AOS was 25 pages including the cover sheet and letter. The IV was 12 pages including cover sheet and cover letter.

I just got home at 2100 and already spent time with NVC... Damn car wouldn't cooperate so I had to get someone to come out and open her up. Didn't lock the keys inside but I couldn't get the door to unlock either. Long story.. suffice to say.. no energy for it tonight.

It could simply be the email system is being slow. Either way, if the front line operators simply can't see that status talking to them more isn't going to do anything.

Hey - it's ok - be a bit patient for now, when you have other fee bills to pay, pay them, but

do not send in anything else (except those optin emails) until you have the GZO casefile # on both casefiles.

The OPTIONAL email is the petitioners(MY) email, we are going to send the DS-3032 Email from my wife's (beneficiary)Email account. I already gave both to the NVC Operator today.

NVC called back.. yay!

The supervisor told me that they did definitely receive my updated/corrected I-864EZ (she had to ask someone to go check their email system for it). She also confirmed receipt of the DS-230 package I sent early day before.

And.....

She confirmed our evidence made it from USCIS to NVC and in the SAFEFILE!!!!!!!!!!!
