I won't lie... when we finally get to our interview date and she disappears up stairs (USCs have to wait, if present, on the 4th floor)... I'll be nervous and scared out of my mind.

If you're there and she sees you as scared and nervous she'll be stressed out and she could forget even your 1st name. You know what, just stay home... lol

Five months is fine. Since pay stubs are optional in the first place, there's really no "minimum" (or even "maximum") amount to send.

no, no I sent my last 5 recent paystubs, not 5 months..lol

Just checked the NVC Payment Portal and it was back up and my I-864 was already invoiced! Yaaaay! Went ahead and paid the bill and printed out the Bar-coded Cover Sheet. AOS Packet ready to Go! ... My wife has already sent in the DS-3032 from her email. Can we wait until IV Bill is invoiced, pay for it, print out bar-coded cover sheet, and once both bills show as "PAID", then sent BOTH Packets together to NVC?

And I believe that if your return has been processed and a refund issued, then you can request for a tax transcript. I don't think you have to wait for April to request them.

Yes, after your return is processed and if you get a refund you can get your transcript. As it is I'll probably get my transcript and my husband's new passport at the same time.

I reminded him his passport expired in July in January. He still hasn't done it. He said yesterday "But you said I had plenty of time" "Yes, dear I did. IN JANUARY!" :bonk: Men! lol So if he sends it out today he should get it back in 10 days. Maybe..

I didn't have my W2 for 2011 when I did the AOS package for NVC, so no, they don't have my 2011 info. I'm not going to bother trying to get a transcript for 2011 because we just submitted at the third week of February, and we filed for an ITIN so we could file jointly, so I doubt they've put our 1040 into their system yet. I'm bringing my 2011 W2 and a copy of our 1040 to the interview, though. I was thinking of bringing the pay stub as evidence that my income is at the same level for 2012.

A second question, I'm hoping that they'll let me be the sole sponsor and let my mom off the hook even though I submitted her info at NVC. I make above the cut off, so if the CO thinks my income is sufficient, can I ask for my mom to no longer be included as a cosponsor? I'm afraid that I'll be too nervous/excited at the interview to remember to ask this...

Yeah, since your interview is next week, there's like no chance on those tax transcripts laughing.gif What was your 2010 income like? If it's high enough, and they don't ask for 2011 tax information, then perhaps just don't offer it.

And I'm not sure if they'll take your mom off or not as a co-sponsor. Don't think I've seen anyone request this before laughing.gif I just say, let her stay as one. It won't hurt.

no, no I sent my last 5 recent paystubs, not 5 months..lol

Matt

Ohhh headbonk.gif I'm too distracted watching a tv show (The Tudors), playing World of Warcraft, and answering questions here laughing.gif

Nonetheless, my last statement still stands. Since there's no "minimum" amount, 5 recent pay stubs is fine.

She was just a bit nervous about doing it since she didn't really understand the process (and she's a worrier like her daughter  ), so I'd like to just ease her mind if at all possible and make it so she doesn't have to alert the government every time she moves. I'll try to remember to ask and see what happens...

My 2010 income was above the cutoff as well. I picked having a cosponsor because I'm only barely over and (mostly) because my funding has an official end date, i.e. I'm guaranteed this level of income only through June 2013. Not that I submitted my funding letter showing them that, but if questions were asked about where my income comes from, that's what I would have to tell them.

I'm not sure if the time frame is the same or not. They have to go through all the emails to get to yours. So, depending on how many emails were sent to NVC, this could be longer or shorter.

AOS for daughter - no.

AOS for wife - yes

IV for daughter - yes

IV for wife - yes

you OPT IN successfully for daughter?

soon, since you are EP case for China, the casefile # will change from GUZ to GZO.

Ops, I just paid AOS for daughter, what to do now?

I submitted OPTIN for daughter, haven't heard from them yet. My wife's case number has been changed to GZO. I'm now waiting for daughter's, so I can start submitting i-864 and DS-230.

I don't know why my time line is not showing up.

Nope. I'll continue to nag him via skype and texts until he does. It took him two months to go to a registry office in Calgary to get our marriage certificate ordered from Edmonton. I should have nagged sooner.

It's not like we are in a huge hurry. We don't want to POE until after June 15th and our second anniversary. But I'd still like to get the ball going.
