When NVC gets our i-130 application, do they get the FULL Folder (Photo album, skype logs, marriage cert...etc etc) that we sent USCIS?

or just the i-130 application?

I'm through NVC, so I am asking this question for the interview, but it's also relevant for submitting paystubs to NVC:

My withholding status at work is still single because I only have taxes withheld in some months and not others, and I don't want to end up underpaying and owning a bunch of money in April 2013. Do you think this will be viewed as a red flag (and thus should I just not submit my paystub as evidence of continued employment) or will my explanation be enough?

They're supposed to get everything.

If they don't we're screwed so I'm hoping hoping hoping they do.

So since i filed for K3 (i-130 and i-129F), NVC will get both FULL Folders and they will just close the i-129F, meaning will they throw away my i-129F folder?

so i'll be on CR-1 path

I couldn't imagine your withholding status would seriously impact things. After all, withholding at the higher single rate isn't uncommon. Also, not to put too fine a point on it, but you're beneficiary is coming from Canada. Be diligent but you really don't have much to worry about. :)

No idea. That said, since the I-129F for the K3 will get killed at NVC I doubt they'd forward the evidence attached to it. The packages were otherwise identical, yes?

Thanks. I just wish I had caught it before sending the papers in. So far my stupid mistakes have cost us nearly a month (assuming it takes them another full week to review the corrected forms).:(:crying:

Yes, as far as I know, USCIS sends the entire package to NVC. And then NVC forwards the USCIS package, adds the new packages received, and sends all that to the consulate/embassy.

I'm through NVC, so I am asking this question for the interview, but it's also relevant for submitting paystubs to NVC:

It shouldn't be considered a red flag, especially when dealing with Canada.

I can't remember if you mentioned this or not (too many cases to remember here laughing.gif), but did you submit 2011 tax information to NVC? If not, do you have a tax transcript ready for the interview? If you have a tax transcript for 2011, then no pay stubs are necessary as you have all the proof of income in the transcript.

Don't blame your self, things happens when you're excited and having shaky hands when typing information at the same time. So don't feel bad, you'll be a'right. This is part of the game.

It truly is easy for Canada. If you have everything in order, have all the required documents for the interview, then it really is a breeze. My heart was pounding the entire time, but looking back afterwards, it really is the easiest part of the process.

Plus, there's a nice view up on the 19th floor ;)

I won't lie... when we finally get to our interview date and she disappears up stairs (USCs have to wait, if present, on the 4th floor)... I'll be nervous and scared out of my mind.

If not, do you have a tax transcript ready for the interview? If you have a tax transcript for 2011, then no pay stubs are necessary as you have all the proof of income in the transcript.

I didn't have my W2 for 2011 when I did the AOS package for NVC, so no, they don't have my 2011 info. I'm not going to bother trying to get a transcript for 2011 because we just submitted at the third week of February, and we filed for an ITIN so we could file jointly, so I doubt they've put our 1040 into their system yet. I'm bringing my 2011 W2 and a copy of our 1040 to the interview, though. I was thinking of bringing the pay stub as evidence that my income is at the same level for 2012.

A second question, I'm hoping that they'll let me be the sole sponsor and let my mom off the hook even though I submitted her info at NVC. I make above the cut off, so if the CO thinks my income is sufficient, can I ask for my mom to no longer be included as a cosponsor? I'm afraid that I'll be too nervous/excited at the interview to remember to ask this...
