That's shocking. I wonder if that will cause anyone to wait until the new fees are in place to proceed with their visa. For me it wouldn't be worth the savings to wait even longer to be with my wife and step-daughter.

Now if they could just reduce the amount of time USCIS takes to adjudicate an I-130 petition.

Some of you may be familiar with Paisaman. He has been mapping out I-130 approvals at CSC for the past few months to give VJ members an idea of what dates CSC is currently working. He has an NOA1 date from the middle of August and he still hasn't received his NOA2. I wonder if the USCIS somehow figured out he was mining their data and for that have 'punished' him. He's helped a lot of VJ members feel more at ease with knowing that they weren't getting skipped over and now he is the one who was skipped over. I sure hope he gets his NOA2 soon.

That sucks! Though I really doubt USCIS cares if anybody mines their data... it's freely available on their website. They're clearly just incredibly understaffed. Some enterprising person in a position of power should take that $100 surplus per visa and find a way to funnel it to USCIS so they can staff up!

I'm all about equality and it really bugs me that he is still in queue while others with October NOA1 dates are getting approved. I felt skipped over when people with NOA1 dates a month after mine where getting approved. I also felt a lot of envy towards those who were getting approved within 2 weeks.

We all complain about how long it takes to get a visa now, but apparently it was even worse a few years ago. IR-1/CR-1 visas were taking 1-2 years or more which is why they created the K-3 visas which are now no longer necessary.

Yes i believe thats correct about K3.

i think if we were all on K3, it only stays at NVC for couple of days and then goes straight to US Embassy.

Thanks everyone! I'm sitting here with a stupid smile on my face :D

And yes...sorry for keeping everyone at nvc busy with our cases

You used a lawyer right? That's how you were able to pay your AOS and IV bills right away instead of having to wait for the DS-3032 to be processed.

In any case congratulations!

IV packets for both my wife and step daughter were sent via express mail today. Hoping for case closed sometime next week and find out the interview date the week after that. My wife had a dream that the interview date would be May 3rd, so that is what we are hoping for now :)

I leave this forum for 3 hours and have to read through about 10 pages to get caught up. I blame those darn Canadians for so many posts :P

Grats on sending it out!

And don't blame Canadians :P

Have you guys seen this yet? They're revising the IV fees... they're going DOWN by like $100 next month.

This is starting to feel like a massive conspiracy to kick us when we're down.

Wow, glad they're reducing the fee!

BTW NVc thread is also created by a Canadian woman.

Hehehe ^_^
