OMG!!! i just spent the last hour and a half reading on posts from the past 2 days... phew, that felt like forever... i couldn't keep up with the multiquote anymore...

I hope not :Plaughing.gif

Wow, looks like you found a competent accountant that actually took the time to do the research for a case where the situation wasn't "normal" (ie the spouse is living abroad) instead of just speaking out of convenience, like you said.

And I agree with you, people here can do what they want, and hopefully it doesn't bite them in the bum at the time of the interview when they have to explain why their US spouse filed as single instead of married (or head of household).

I did my taxes yesterday... so glad that's over... i walked into H&R Block, told the guy EXACTLY how i wanted/needed to file and he still wanted to "try" to get the best for me... after several failed attempts, he said "man, u give me hard time, you already know what u need, i should hire u , you don't need me. You're teaching me today..." LOL i warned him when i walked in what i needed, no crazy loopholes... i did MFS, paper return, using NRA, no education credits... i'll amend after we get an SSN for the hubby and get the rest of my return...

Just called again, they received the case over a week and a half ago, and still no case number. Does anyone else with a similar NOA2 date have their case number yet??

Thanks!

I have similar dates as you. NOA2 3-13-12 and NVC received my case 3-19-12... i call everyday and hear the same "wait 15-20 business days from the day we received ur case..."

I text my husband this morning about Shell finally getting an answer about EP. We keep in touch on these things lo

Here's our conversation this morning;

i sent that ds 30whatever form they sent in my email yesterday

WHAT you sent the DS-3032?!

Ya, they sent an email, i filled it out, signed it scanned it and emailed it

*facepalm*

what? i did bad didn't I?

/sigh, no, it probably won't hurt anything, keep your greasy hands off my paperwork

Yes dear.

Then I read that Neela sent hers in and it actually helped.. so yay! I'm not apologizing to him though...

I live with my husband but cannot wait to get back to the US. Looking forward to introducing him to the wonders of the "First World". The other day he saw a Roomba vacuum cleaner in a movie on tv and said "you all have robots in the United States?!"

anyone else like me and get a kick out of updating your signature and time line with every little step?

I LOVE updating my signature whenever I can... i like it even better than the timeline, much more convenient for me and others... wish everyone would add a simple signature with their dates...

Just got a case number!!!!!!!!!!! Now I can enjoy the weekend :)

Congrats!!! maybe i'll get a case number today too ::hoping::

That's definitely the right way to file your taxes good.gif Glad you didn't listen to the guy. Was he suggesting you file single?

And yes, signatures are AWESOME. I always liked adding people to my spreadsheet that had signatures as it was so much easier.
