I'd suggest trying again and asking them to invoice your AOS bill. Explain it's been X amount of days since your case number was assigned. Tell them you know it shouldn't be taking this long as others around you that got their case number on the same day have gotten their AOS invoiced. If necessary, tell them you wish to speak to a supervisor. Be adamant. If the person can't speak English, hang up and try again

What a WONDERFUL woman!! Sadly I can't even remember her name, but she picked up without even a WAIT. I took your advice and said "I was wondering if you could invoice my AOS bill", and she could pretty much see my entire case. She mentioned "you want to get down here to Virginia where it's warm don't you?" to which I said "I just want a hug!!" and she said "very good!" and laughed She said "sometimes, when a person tries to opt in for EP, what happens is the system gets confused...it hangs up and says 'what do I do now?!'...and that's what seems to have happened here." That made me laugh pretty good, lol. Then she said, "I will write this up and we'll get this sorted out right away. We'll get this fixed out for you and get an email to your husband ASAP so you can pay your bill." I mentioned I'd been able to fill out the DS-261 and she said "that's too funny because we haven't generated it yet...you're on the ball!" I said "Yes I am, maybe too much so?" and she laughed and said "Well, we're clearly not so it's good one of us is." Frown has officially been turned upside down...that was funny - and fun!

Always make sure you're logging into the payment portal to pay bills, not the forms portal. And I hope you're using IE (as much as it sucks).

And keep in mind, your DS-3032 was JUST accepted today, it still takes a day or two to get the IV bill invoiced.

Okay and yes im using IE.I thought i have to use it for payment portal.Ok i will wait for the invoice.

Thnaks.Now atleast i have peace of mind that they accept it.

Called NVC this morning to check on the AOS packages I sent in earlier this week and was told that both were accepted. Now i'm just waiting for the payment portal to show paid for my step-daughter's IV bill (bank account shows the withdrawl) later today and then I will head to the post office and send off both IV packages via express mail for delivery on Monday. Hoping to get CC middle of next week and then during the 2nd week of April find out when our interview will be assigned, hoping for early May

LOL...pretty much. I said I was able to. I was - I have the confirmation printed off to prove it. She said they didn't generate it yet so that tells me my optin created a glitch in their system lol...

Able.. soon as we had a case number and logged on the document site, there sat the DS-261. We both had recieved the opt-in acceptance, so we both filled it out.

Yep, and this mystery woman was awesome. I feel so bad I didn't remember her name! she had a somewhat Jersey/Boston accent, and you could tell right away by the sound of her voice that she's a caring person, so if you talk to her you MAY be in luck!

I would still opt-in, but after you get your opt-in acceptance email, call NVC and talk to someone who has a clue. Keep calling until you find one.
