NVC Filers - March 2012

Just called again, they received the case over a week and a half ago, and still no case number. Does anyone else with a similar NOA2 date have their case number yet??

I called NVC this morning and they still have not reviewed my checklist yet

Honestly, I don't feel like there's any point in calling both early in the morning and late at night. They didn't do any work between 10pm last night and 8am this morning! Better off calling once a day at 5-6pm, which is when all the work for the day is finished.

After you got your CC when you call NVC, what do they tell you?

That they'd tried to fit me in for April, but all dates are taken. That they'll try and fit me in for May.

Actually, if Saylin's right - they staff people to work right up to end of day, right from beginning of day. At least that's what I read a few pages of posts back LOL...

looking at Saylin's spread sheet. It looks like people from 3/14 still have not received an NVC number. But they might not have come back and told her they did.

You are the only one with a 3/21 NOA2 date,there is one 3/22.

Today is day nine. I got mine on day nine late at night, hang in there!

Thanks, sheeshkabelle, forgot to check Saylin's spreadsheet. Ok, well I'll call back Monday morninig, hopefully they'll be refreshed from the wknd and give me good news!

That's what I'm saying...call at the end of the work day, or any time at night. But it's the government...I highly doubt they have employees processing cases overnight between 5pm and 8am so if you call at 10pm today and 8am tomorrow, you aren't going to see any change in your case. Unless I'm misunderstanding you?

They are staffed to midnight, actually. And it was a call at 10 pm where they first told me "we just started scanning your case in"...so I think you are misunderstanding me (Since I called usually 4 times a day for a case number - 8 AM, 12 noon, 5 PM and 10 PM, that's what I'm going off of...)

Well, the call center is staffed until midnight, yes. But that doesn't mean that the people processing cases are there until midnight. "We just started scanning your case in" could mean that it was started during the workday and on hold until the next day. Saylin? Opinion?

I have this crazy question on my head I would like to throw out to you guys to see if you can please share your ideas/opinions:

If I don't get any checklists let say within the first 48 hours of NVC receiving my IV package, could it possibly mean that everything was good and it was accepted?

Yeah, I mean, obviously things can change on your 8am-10pm calls because those are across the work day, and who knows how long it takes the call center's system to update when something is done on the case (hence possible changes from 5pm-10pm). I think the issue is whether anything significant changes between your 10pm and 8am call the next day...if, like Rujby, you call at 10pm and they say the checklist hasn't been reviewed, would you really expect to hear that it has been reviewed at 8am the next day?
