That sounds like a case number will be assigned soon. I suggest calling later today, in the evening, and see if one is assigned.

And yay, I finally get poutine! :D

It's yours whenever you want it. The funny thing is that hubby saw the email first and then told me to check mine usually it is the other way round. i have a couple of questions about the medical which I will ask on the Canada forum later today as I am frantically trying to get house ready to sell.

Now some info I wanted to share with everyone: in our March interviews thread, someone who had their interview yesterday in Manila was asked for their 2011 tax return + W2. It's actually the only thing the CO asked for! They had everything and got approved. Be prepared to bring your 2011 tax forms (you might not have the transcript yet) EVEN if your interview is BEFORE April 17th!!

Thanks for advising this. Our interview is April 10 and I was assuming that there was a high possibility of being asked for 2011 tax returns.

I can't believe how excited I am. :D

you should 'join up' these two cases at NVC. Once ya do that, it's solely ONE AOS fee bill for both casefiles.

How to do? Call into NVC, use a Telephone, get a Human, and inquire.

also - you need to OPT IN for the step-daughter, for EP, as well. is same process as the wife.

Thanks. I called NVC, and was told that I should follow the normal process for my step-daughter's case. They will schedule the interview on the same day.

I'll enroll her to EP.

Thanks

Jiang

Jing, could you please update your timeline so we can more accurately help you. I'm going to assume that the cases were already combined, if not then you need to request NVC combine them asap. Since the cases are combined you only make one AOS payment. This is for both your wife and daughter. Since you paid it for your wife the cover sheet will have her name, you use that cover sheet for both. I paid it first for my Step-daughter and used her AOS cover sheet for both. I also sent them together in the same package asking them to be process together. You can use your wife's email address for your daughter if she doesn't have one. I sent DS-3032 for my wife and step-daughter from my wife's email address(My step-daughter is 7). The email has to be sent from your wife's email address, if you can access it then you can send it but it has to be from her email address. But you need to make sure the cases are combined first and foremost.

Matt

Thank you for your info. I called NVC today. The officer told me that they will schedule the interview on the same day, it's not going to be two separate date. The processing is going to be the same. So I'm going to enroll her to Electronic processing first (and DS-3032) and see what steps are there next.

7/27/2011 I-130 received (wife and daughter)

2/17/2012 wife's case number assigned

2/24/2012 wife's EP accepted

2/27/2012 daughter's case number assigned

2/28/2012 emailed NVC for daughter's case, no response

Both email that we received has attachment in the PDF form which contains:

Info about the case + choice of address and agent--Since my wife already emailed them the choice of agent so I am not gonna send another-(right)?

Does that mean they have accepted the 3032 sent to them from my wife's email?

The payment portal has AOS ready to be paid, should I go ahead and pay it ? ( Don't have to wait for anything else I supose?)

Thanx Tango for the quick read and reply,

Yes, Hopefully by Monday I will have all the documents ready to be sent. I am just waiting for my Uncle to receive his 2011 business tax done through his accountant everything else is ready to be mailed.

I already paid the AOS just now and printed the receipt for my records.

Now as soon as it is paid, I will print the barcoded paper from the site and start organizing docs to be sent.

Wow, things are moving faster than I imagined!
