Just received an email from NVC with an Invoice for the IV for my step-daughter. Just paid the $404 fee. Hoping it shows up as paid tomorrow and then I will send off the DS-230 with supporting documents via Express mail Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

Hoping for case complete next week. Then find out about my interview the week after that. An interview in early May would be great!

06/10/11 - Married

USCIS: (224 days)

07/22/11 - Mailed I-130 petitions for wife and step-daughter

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

02/28/12 - Responded to RFE for both(received by CSC on 2/29)

03/02/12 - NOA2 for both(received hardcopy on 3/8)

03/12/12 - NVC Received both

03/21/12 - NVC case number and IIN received for both & Emailed Choice of Agent for both

03/23/12 - AOS bill invoiced & paid for both

03/26/12 - AOS bill shows paid & AOS Packets mailed for both

03/27/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for wife (sent another for step-daughter via email and express mail)

03/28/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for step-daughter & IV bill invoiced & paid for wife

03/29/12 - IV bill shows paid for wife & IV bill invoiced & paid for step-daughter

03/30/12 - IV bill shows paid for step-daughter & IV Packets mailed for both

04/04/12 - IV Packets reviewed. Checklist issued for Divorce Decree for my wife. Step-daughter's was accepted and her case closed

04/10/12 - Divorce Decree accepted after supervisor review & wife's case closed

04/16/12 - Expedite requested for both cases due to NVC error

04/18/12 - Expedite request approved for both cases and sent to Santiago Embassy

Embassy: (15 days)

04/24/12 - Embassy received both cases from NVC

04/25/12 - Wife went to Embassy for document review. Interview date assigned for both cases.

04/26/12 - Medical Exam for both. Result - approved.

05/07/12 - Interview date for both. Result - approved!

05/09/12 - Received both Visas

05/16/12 - POE Atlanta

Maybe you will design a system that promptly invoices users to make their payments. Wouldn't that be something?

Finally received the IV fee invoiced...just paid! woo woo! Almost there. I plan to send docs out tomorrow!

Just make sure the IV bill is appearing as PAID before you mail the packages out!

OMG!!! Just when i thought this crappy day couldn't get any worse, i open my mail to ANOTHER checklist. I almost fainted barely reading it and not understanding. Called NVC just to be relieved that its a standard checklist they send when the AOS IS APROVED!!! and IV package isn't in the system yet, which it will be tomorrow in the AM!!!!

i'm about a day behind you, husband mailed it express from spain, so its arriving by noon tomorrow, which is why i got the checklist, hoping for no checklists and a case complete so that i can wait in agonizing peace for our interview. hoping that by july 1st i'll be in spain helping my husband pack!!!

It's definitely not as bad as the NOA2 wait... but that being said, there's still a scary range of time people have to wait to get the interview date. One person I've messaged recently is still waiting at 6 weeks. Another person found out the day after case complete. So if you'd like to have any kind of clear expectations of when your spouse will be in the US, it's still pretty stressful :(

I like the first part of the NVC stuff better... something fun happening every few days! :P

Not always true...I'm watching everyone get invoices but me, and when I phone to ask why I've been seeing "your case is in the process of termination" for the last week, all they say is "that's why we say it takes 10-20 days." :blink:

NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).
