I posted my review of the interview, if anyone's interested. Of course, it's too long ! :D

Just a few facts which might be useful for everyone here:

- I was asked for 2011 tax return, new employment letter, and latest pay stub of my husband. Makes me wonder what's the point in NVC document intake, considering I also had to give new birth, marriage, and police certificates (specific to Paris)...

- they didn't want the extra passport sized pictures I brought. In fact, they gave me one of the NVC ones back.

- they also gave me back all the evidence of bona fide relationship we sent with the I130. I came out with more documents in my bag! They only kept the photos, and it triggered a question (who's that here on this wedding picture?).

- they didn't ask for additional evidence, nor did they want to see more photos.

- make sure your spouse knows how much your income is. I didn't really know and of course it was one of the first questions :hehe:

- be prepared to answer questions which seem completely unrelated to the immigration process or your relationship ("how's your brother in law's girlfriend?" "??? Huh, fine I guess?".

It was easy overall, but I found the interview part really awkward, standing in front of the window, speaking loud to be heard through, so everybody else in the waiting room knows all about your life...

I'm glad it's over and I can't wait for POE now!! Well first I need to receive my passport with the visa!

Can't believe you even described a hall way with vending machines (food, beverages)...that was awesome!

Another thing, at the POE you'll be asked if you wanna you GC to be sent to the address in the form or you have another mailing @ you'd like to receive it in!

Are you kidding me? they will receive it before noon, i will start calling tonight. I cant believe you asking me to wait for that long. Here on this thread it is the" Call everyday" we do

No, I do mean waiting 5 to 10 business days.

It has to wind it's way through the mail room

then it has to be added to the casefile

then an adjudicator has to see it,

then the adjudicator has to update the computer record .

Good Luck !

Grats on the case complete! kicking.gif

Yes, now you wait for the interview date to be scheduled. If you want, call NVC and/or DOS daily. Or just wait for the interview letter by email.

How come everytime you call NVC they insist making sure that the phone numbers and email addresses are correct? It takes longer time to go through that than recieving the "No mam we have not recieved your papers, they might be in the building but I can't see them on here"

Btw, how long on avarage will it take from that you send in(over night delivery) your last packages until they review them?

It's been taking NVC just a few days to review packages.

I'm at 16 days now but I've just accepted that I won't hear anything til the second week of April. That way if it comes sooner it'll be a lovely surprise!

You'll get it soon ;)

Grats on getting your case number today!

And if you give both email addresses over to an operator, all packages are emailed to you, not snail mailed.
