you ever just go direct to Delta.com? I find I get better deals and more selection that way...I rarely use the discount websites anymore...

Oh, and if you like the delta cookies I know where to order them! :)

Yeah, I tried going to Delta.com but it's even worse. On Expedia, the current ticket prices are around $800. On Delta, it's over $1000 blink.gif So, I'm gonna wait it out a bit. My credit card limit is only $800, so I have to wait for prices to get lower.

And yes, I love their cookies! I was hesitant on my first Delta flight to eat them as I don't usually like plain cookies (chocolate rocks), but once I took a bite, I was happy :)

I would not be surprised if someone tell me that they are contractors for NVC.

They are, the US Government contracts out all their call centers. I worked in one for Social Security...

All I could see on my screen is what was input and released by a case worker, judge or the attorney assigned to the case. I did not have access to the file what so ever. All I could give out were dates and times when things were received or updated. That's why I don't get too upset with NVC operators, they are probably looking at a similar black and white screen.

What was great is we used Windows XP, you put the clients social security number in hit return, and it brought up a DOS black and white screen... all I could think is "Really, DOS? hasn't technology caught up?"

NVC Operators DO NOT make decisions or/and have any input in cases that are been processed by NVC specialists, they only answer basic questions about process and provides information that is provided via their terminals. I would not be surprised if someone tell me that they are contractors for NVC.

Exactly good.gif

NVC operators have no power on "holding cases back" or making the process slower. They're just the middle man. They can only see information on their computer screens. There's no button on their screen that says "slow this case down due to constant calling" that they can press no0pb.gif

Really? We booked a flight out for Trav, 4 weeks ago, for like 800 bucks after taxes...on Easter weekend from Charlotte to Winnipeg.

Yes. Chocolate rocks! If you love their cookies apparently they make a SPREAD out of them!!! http://www.biscoff.com :) You can thank me later :P

So I ended up dreaming last night that Cici's pizza had come to my little town in South Dakota laughing.gif If only it were true!

Ohhh, that'd be really awesome if we can meet up! Pizza and a chat with a VJ friend!

It seems that government departments/site are way behind on the times. Still using XP, still favoring IE. What's wrong with these people headbonk.gif

There were times I wish I had one!

But we could make case notes, every time someone called in we were put notes about the call and what was told to the client.

You'd see ones that said 'PITA' 'SOB' 'MCP'(mr. or ms. cranky pants) 'screamer' It got pretty entertaining at times. It wasn't so much to insult the client, but to warn the next poor soul that got them on the line.

Yeah, on Expedia it's about $800 right now. But Delta, it's $200-$300 more. I have no idea what's going on with any of these sites. Just two weeks ago, they were fine, and prices were about $600. But I was waiting for our tax refund so I can buy it. Now... wacko.gif

And oh no, I was probably better off NOT knowing the site laughing.gif

Yeah, after all this pizza talk, I'm planning on having some pizza for lunch rofl.gif

LOL...I've been meaning to try the spread...they make a sandwich/bagel spreadable thing that is made out of ground up Delta cookies!

Jacking up prices for the summer. The price of oil went up.. again..

When we looked last month for round trip tickets to Montreal they were about $650 a piece, now they're up to $700 for me and $800 for Trent. Calgary slapped a huge airport fee because they're redoing the terminals and building new runways. And with Air Canada threatening to go on strike, West Jet decided they'd take advantage of that cash cow...

The first time I flew to Calgary in 2006 I got a round trip ticket for $430.00 including taxes and fees...

Well, I'm flying out of a very tiny airport (only one terminal/gate), so it's always expensive to fly out. Flying from bigger airports is almost always cheaper, so you shouldn't worry.

Guess that means it's a good thing we're stuffing Trav's entire tax return in our visa savings account as cushion...we may need it :(

Well, I've been keeping a spreadsheet (laughing.gif) of flight prices. They're not always going up, they do go down every now and then. So, I'm just holding out for when they go down again. I've heard that flight prices go down on Tuesday, but according to my spreadsheet, for my flight anyways, that's not accurate.

There's some people, that were not meant for customer service. There's always a handful of them in every call center.

Yeah, that was the ONLY operator I didn't like. All the others were very pleasant and nice. That one though... mad.gif I was nearly in tears afterwards at how rude he was...
