Random question for anybody out there: Can I bring my wife to a Cruise in the Bahamas once she lands in the States with her CR-1 Visa (No Green Card yet received)?

Would the Bahamas require an extra visa for her to enter the Islands even though she would arrive as a CR (Conditional Resident) of the US?

Hello everyone, I have a kind of weird question...

I recently ordered the IRS Transcripts so that I could have a recent version of them to mail to NVC...

However, in my 2009 Transcripts it shows that I only made $2000 o.O.

I know that in 2009 I had to amend my taxes, with the final adjusted income being over $19,000. So I'm wondering why my transcripts is only showing $2000???

Should I send the original amended tax forms for that year, or should I send this recent IRS Tax Transcript I just received in the mail?

Have a good weekend!

there are two types of tax transcripts - reorder both types for 'that year', one of them will 'show all'. if'n yer in a hurry, get to yer local IRS office on Monday,they can print them there within 30 minutes.

as to 'type' - see http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=110571,00.html

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You don't have to send all three years of transcripts, but it is suggested you do so. The transcript you ordered should have been amended also to show where your income changed. Either go to your local tax office and see what's up, use the amended full tax return, or if time is an issue, omit the last three years and use only your current year. Maybe then you will have had time to go to an IRS office and find out why your transcript is messed up.

And yes, she will have her passport with her temporary green card in it. You guys are safe to go to the Bahamas.

It's Return Transcript vs. Account Transcript.

The NVC and later the embassy only want the Return Transcript, not the other one.

Hey saylin im now a march nvc'er got noa2 dated yesterdayill be out on my honey moon in mexico until april 12th u think i should call them while in down there to get my.

Case and iin #'s? or can i wait until i am back? Since ill be goin to juarez for interview im assuming ill be doing EP and i do not want to jeoperdize anything because i didnt call them any insight would be appreciated thanks :)

I'm thinking you'll get your case number assigned before you leave on April 12th.

You can go through NVC without calling an operator at all. You get your case number, IIN, and BIN through the initial information package, you find out your case is complete by email, you get your interview letter by email. The only reason people call is to speed up the process and be up to date as possible on your case.

And yes, you'll be doing EP, as well as online forms. yes.gif

So, I am looking over the embassy website at what is necessary for the interview and they state that you will need to bring ORIGINAL birth certificate, marriage certificate, ETC. even if it's been sent to USCIS...

Order of Documents for the Interview

Important Notice for Immediate Relatives, Family and Employment-Based Processes:

On the day of your interview please provide the Application for Immigrant and Alien Registration (DS 230‐II) ‐ Sworn Statement completely and carefully filled out. Please provide original of the documents listed below.

Please note: Applicants must bring all original documents to the interview, even where those documents were already sent to USCIS with the petition. There are no exceptions.

1. Valid passport (at least eight months validity remaining);

2. Birth certificate (even for married, divorced or widowed applicants). For applicants born in Korea or Taiwan, a "Family Register" followed with an official translation into English is requested with a simple copy;

3. Marriage Certificate (if applicable) with a simple copy;

4. Divorce Decree (if applicable) with a simple copy;

5. Death Certificate from previous spouses (if applicable) with a simple copy;

6. Military Certificate with a simple copy;

7. Police Certificate(s) - In Brazil you need two: from the Federal Police and the State Police (Secretaria de Segurança Pública) with a simple copy;

8. Affidavit of Support (Form I‐864 or I‐134) or Job letter (whichever is applicable) including supporting documents. (If the Affidavit has not been previously sent to NVC along with the petitioner's last federal tax forms);

http://brazil.usemba...-interview.html

uhhh, let me check if I understand this: Even though I send originals to NVC, somehow I should have spare originals to bring with me to the interview? Is this the same procedure at other embassys?

I'm confused :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

You shouldn't need your original documents as NVC always forwards them to the consulate/embassy, including Brazil. The only thing you need to bring with you to the interview should be the passport from that list. As well as the interview list, passport photos, and medical results. And relationship evidence. I have no idea what's going on with their site and their so-called requirements... headbonk.gif

Since the stamp in the passport, along with the visa, acts as a temporary green card, not having the actual card is fine. And nope, no visa needed as she'll be a legal permanent resident, doesn't matter if she arrived on a CR-1 visa or IR-1; she's still a LPR.

Hello everyone, I have a kind of weird question...

I recently ordered the IRS Transcripts so that I could have a recent version of them to mail to NVC...

Have a good weekend!

That's weird blink.gif If there's a local office nearby, I'd suggest going to them and correcting this.

And like others have said, you'll need the tax return transcript, not the account one.

I'm sorry to disagree but I've seen multiple times here that only ONE AOS fee is to be paid in a case with a family application. It's the IV fee that has to be paid for each intending immigrant. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... Darnell anywhere?

You are right!!

I was about to correct my earlier statement!! We will only pay one AOS fee, and since my sons bill was available first that fee came on there. On my bill there will only be the IV fee.. Sometimes I wish I read my emails more carefully before I open up my mouth :bonk: My lawyer had actually explained it there. One AOS and two IV, but the AOS can be paid with either one of us....
