You can find the I-864 instructions here: I-864 Instructions.pdf If they want a "hard copy" print it for them.

All forms and instructions for this process can be found online.

The AVR has been down pretty much all month. It's a bummer.

I need to ask you if you can send me a link where i can show it off to my sister inlaw who insist that she still wants to receive a hardcopy before she proceed on getting her financial documents as a joint sponsor for our AOS package.. :bonk:

i am refering to the bold requirement above, we got married in Miami so we have an american certificate. my husband is freaking out because it still says single for the empadromiento and he says he cannot get the fe de vida without my being there with him to swear in the marriage. but he hasn't checked. i assume our marriage certificate is enough proof no?

I repeat what I told you in another thread, you do not need this document, only the marriage certificate. The other one is for couples who are not married yet, and are following another procedure.

Good luck.

i wouldn't sweat this till Monday.

On Monday, have the USCitizen Petitioner call into NVC, and inquire about casefile status.

It may be this checklist was generated in error - most of them are.

Does anyone know how to download the form DS-230 in a way that you "SAVE" it and continue at a later time?

My sister was able to do it but she is in TX, and I'm in FL and I haven't been able to get in touch with her to find out how she did it.

Every time I try typing a DS-230 I have to do the whole thing in "ONE SITTING" and print it out because it says: It would not let me save any data on the form. On the other hand, the I-864 DOES ALLOW me to save data.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd say to do it page by page, in order not to drive yourself mad!

That happens quite a bit from what I've seen with joint sponsors.

They completed your case and the embassy/consulate will go over the joint sponsors paperwork. as said before be sure to take everything with you to the interview!

Yes i will read them thanks again saylin! Got a problem regarding my sister-inlaw which happen to be my husbands joint sponsor. she insisted that we still need to receive a hardcopy for instructions before she sign and completes the I-864 form..

The instructions could be found online here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864instr.pdf Send her that link.

Yesterday was a good day! IV package received by NVC, Found out that the AOS package was reviewed and accepted on Wednesday, and completed the Medical nice and easily (Despite stressing out that my blood pressure was going to be high). All in all, a very good day! Now just to wait for NVC Case Complete next week, and the Interview. This loooong process is almost over

Grats on all the progress this week!

This thread rivals some of those game threads in "Off Topic."

I hate that horror movie #######, I don't see how anyone can watch that. Plenty of other (and better) ways to be entertained.

Wow, you're right, those game threads are long blink.gif

And I prefer fantasy movies, much more entertaining for me! Just watched Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring last night, in fact :)

I think I'll have to wait for a hardcopy of instructions as well, anyone know where I can find that information online somewhere?

I need this process to go as fast as possible...

Also, anyone know what happened to the Automated Response part of calling the NVC?

Follow the link above where I responded to someone else.

As for the AVR, it's been down for a few weeks now. Not sure if they've removed it or something...

I checked my email they didn t issue the checklist email. I was just wondering if they will wait on monday or have found the paper they reported missing

Again, if they issued it yesterday, you can still receive it on the weekend! Please go read my last response to you a few times until you understand what I said.

Thank you. I scanned the form for him 2 months ago and last week he signed it and sent the ORIGINAL in the mail to me. you siad the form doesn't expire so im in good shape. Thank you. Looking forwd to you April Forum.

You're welcome ^_^

Yes! My husband paid our AOS fee bill awhile ago..hoepfully i can get the receipt the soonest time..Is that what i need to enclose in the AOS Package or the barcoded AOS FEE bill invoice they sent me in the mail? cause it has a barcode also..

In the package, you need the bar-coded cover sheet (called document cover sheet on the payment portal). You do NOT need the receipt or the invoice that was sent to you. You can get the bar-coded cover sheet as soon as you pay, so, in your case, you can get it NOW.
