But I have the thread description set as "Please read first two posts for important information" which appears at the top of each and every page. And when you click on a thread in the forums, it brings you to the very first post. There really shouldn't be any excuses...

Agreed. But I like to put myself in other peoples shoes every once in a while. And my experience is that you and other VJ members have been here for a longer time than others, and appear to be gurus in many aspects. You also seem to have a lot of time on your hands (no offense)You therefore know this site like the back of your hand and can browse through it in your sleep  . I remember starting out and it was not easy. I also remember you re-directing me to this thread, as I kept missing it and could not find my way to it :bonk: . I finally found the way to "watch" it so it's easier to keep track of it now. There are a few other things I figured out since then, that were right in front of me the whole time, but for some reason, it took me some time to "work them". Not everyone comes here with the same level of computer savvy-ness (?). So please bear with other new members in this respect especially when you see the level of membership is less than 6 months (newbees and low level members).

I would like to point out that I really appreciate the help and "point to the right direction" that you especialy (Saylin) continue to provide to this forum. Thank you so much!!

Speaking for myself and respectfully submitted.

Horror junkie reporting. Saylin, watch the 1970's version of Black Christmas. It was filmed here in Toronto, and is one of the best horror movies of all time imo. Have your sleeping pills ready for bedtime :innocent:

The Green Butchers is from Denmark and is horror/comedy, along the lines of Shaun of the Dead. Hilarious and psychologically twisted. Perfect combo.

Never heard of either of those. And as tempted as I am to watch a movie filmed in Canada (smile.gif), it won't be worth it due to the content.

And I already take sleeping pills (and wear ear plugs) because of my husband's loud breathing that keeps me up otherwise headbonk.giflaughing.gif

You know, most horror movies do that to me too - for some reason I just couldn't get scared at the Paranormal Activity series (maybe it was the acting? I dunno...lol). The WORST one for making me go "what if this really happened", oddly, was also a really REALLY badly acted one so I don't know why it was so different! It was really old - Rosemary's Baby. *chills*

I'll admit, the acting wasn't fantastic, but just the ghosts and stuff scared me. I really regret watching it. Even to this day, when I go to the bathroom at night, I'm so scared to see a ghost on my way there or back again headbonk.gif

ANYWAYS Off-Topic2.giflaughing.gif

Saylin & bouerchithi,

I've been reading the Feb thread and saw this post.

Few days ago, I sent my Checklist edited doc. to the "ATTN. DR" as stated on the Checklist email pdf attachment.

Will this necessarily cost me few days?

No, it shouldn't be a problem as that's what you're supposed to do. That member's checklist was a false one, so I advised them to send it to the appropriate IV department. Yours was an actual checklist, so you were write to put ATTN: DR.

Oh, I remember how I was when I first joined. Information overload. Didn't know how things worked. And I made a few topics that a simple search could have found headbonk.gif But being here for a year and a half, I've learned laughing.gif

And I don't have as much time as you might think. I'm in school full-time (computer program so I'm always online :P which can be a bad thing at times laughing.gif) and then I work part-time as well as being active in my guild on World of Warcraft. But I always make time for this thread. And if I skip a day (or even a few hours!) of not reading through this thread, I'll be swamped with like 10 pages minimum.

But I stay of course since I love helping out others! yes.gif

2) The Checklist instruction also said to put Case # on top right of each doc. So i did that on each I-864 pages.

3) On IV packet, for 2 passport-sized photos of the beneficiary, we wrote NVC Case#, DOB, and Name of Beneficiary on the back of both passport-sized pic. Is this what we were suppose to do? I read some folks got RFE for not doing that.

I'd suggest calling a supervisor.

You're absolutely 100% sure that the proof of citizenship was included? Which document was chosen?

I am almost afraid I missed something....opened it, I can read every page, but it was scanned in black and white because that's all I have access to. That's the ONLY issue I can see, but I can fix that Monday if need be. That going to cause a checklist?
