I think it stands for Affidavit of Support Bill and Immigration Visa Bill.

I think it is hard for new-to-the-thread posters to know about the 1st and 2nd post on a long thread like this one. 200 pages and counting. When one stumbles upon this thread it's usually at the tail end of the thread/conversation.

I agree...horror movies scare the ####### outta me. Trav and I watched a scarier one once and he was up laughing as I was up staring wide eyed at him saying "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" :)

But Zombieland...or Shaun of the Dead...those are two movies I can get behind :D

Yeah, my husband asked me to watch Paranormal Activity 3 a few months ago and I said yes, because I wanted to be nice and such. Yeah, very bad idea. I was twitchy the entire movie (I hate ghost movies), and the last 20 minutes (when it gets really scary) I didn't watch at all; I was staring at the seat in front of me. It then took me about 3 hours to fall asleep, with my body clamped around my husband's arm blush.gif Let's just say I'm not going to see the sequels with him in the future.

Feeling overwhelmed! Filling out documents and compiling everything needed can be exhausting!

:crying:

In addition; not everyone at the NVC call center is nice :help:

Have any specific questions about the forms or such? We're here to help.

And yes, I had experience with one very rude operator. I wanted to smack the ####### out of him for the way he spoke to me.

Wow thats a great idea. Thanks saylin. You are genious. :star: I will tell my husband to send it tonight/Monday(Coz he is driving 9 hours this evening from varginia to toronto )

good.gif

:ot: Saylin i thought you were a brave girl. :o I wacth the horror movies with my Hubby. So im not afraid.

:ot2: 1.Can I send AOS pacage tomorrow?2.As im doing EP how can they send the AOS pacage to montreal? Will they print The pacage?

Yeah, not at all. The thing is, I can watch horror movies, but it's at night when I'm trying to fall asleep where it becomes a problem. I have a very over-active imagination no0pb.gif

And yes, even though it's the weekend, you can still email packages! And since everything is electronic for your case, NVC just forwards it to Montreal electronically and then ships your USCIS package.

Can someone please explain the difference between the AOS bill and the IV bill PLEASE!!! SINCE the operator at NVC refused to!!!

VisaJourney2011 explained it perfectly above.

But I have the thread description set as "Please read first two posts for important information" which appears at the top of each and every page. And when you click on a thread in the forums, it brings you to the very first post. There really shouldn't be any excuses...

I unfortunately can't think of any horror movies as "cheesy" because they scare the $#!^ of me. And similar to what you think, I always wonder if this can happen to ME. *insert over-active imagination*

Horror junkie reporting. Saylin, watch the 1970's version of Black Christmas. It was filmed here in Toronto, and is one of the best horror movies of all time imo. Have your sleeping pills ready for bedtime :innocent:

The Green Butchers is from Denmark and is horror/comedy, along the lines of Shaun of the Dead. Hilarious and psychologically twisted. Perfect combo.

You know, most horror movies do that to me too - for some reason I just couldn't get scared at the Paranormal Activity series (maybe it was the acting? I dunno...lol). The WORST one for making me go "what if this really happened", oddly, was also a really REALLY badly acted one so I don't know why it was so different! It was really old - Rosemary's Baby. *chills*

Saylin & bouerchithi,

I've been reading the Feb thread and saw this post.

Few days ago, I sent my Checklist edited doc. to the "ATTN. DR" as stated on the Checklist email pdf attachment.

Q's

1) Will this necessarily cost me few days?

2) The instruction also said to put Case # on top right of each doc. So i did that on each I-864 pages.

3) On IV packet, for 2 pic of beneficiary, we wrote NVC Case#, DOB, and Name of Beneficiary on the back of both passport-sized pic. Is this what we were suppose to do? I read some folks got RFE for not doing that.

NVC Filers - February 2012

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/349966-nvc-filers-february-2012/page__st__1680

Just stick with the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal.

There's a different ATTN on the checklist one as checklists go to a different department (then routed to either AOS or IV).

Folks,

I paid the IV bill and downloaded the cover letter from the portal. This was approx. 2 weeks ago. In the meantime, my wife got delayed a bit for her police clearance certificate, so we were planning to send in the IV package sometime around Mar 15.

However, I received an email from NVC with the subject line Case#XXXXXXXXX (CHECKLIST COVER LETTER). The email seemed to just request the beneficiary to send in package IV. However it did contain another bar coded cover letter with slight change in the address.

The address on the bar coded cover letter that I just received in the CHECKLIST COVER LETTER email is:

National Visa Center

ATTN: DR

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

The address that is on the cover letter on the payment portal

National Visa Center

Attn. CMR

31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Except the ATTN part, everything else is the same. I am assuming these two are basically the same cover letter, with different ATTns. But wanted to run by you guys in case I am missing something.

Thanks!
