Nope, it shouldn't matter. Just make sure you get delivery confirmation so you could track it.

Well my question to the operator was :" Has the package already been reviewed yet? Should i be more direct like :" Has the case been completed yet? Can i have my wife call later on or tomorrow?

My husband's question had been if they'd received our DS-230 package, and the reply was that it has been reviewed and accepted and the case has been completed.

If you ask about the packages, they'll know whether or not the case is complete, no matter how the question is worded.

NVC is open until midnight EST. You can call as often as you want (although I don't suggest it, 2-3 times max per day).

I always called at 5pm EST. It seemed, for me, to be the best time to call as I got through to an operator in less than 5 minutes each time.
