Thank you so much! I will send it with the 2011 info then.

But remember if you are going to include "a COPY" of 2011 return then don't include 2008.

So your tax info will be: IRS transcripts of 2009, and 2010. And "Copy of 2011 1040form" or whatever the form name is.

In I-864, #25, then use most recent 2011, then 2010, then 2009. Read the I-864 instruction, it says to Use Total Income.

So this was my experience, this week. So i'm just basing it on that.

Best of luck!

Please tell me it isn't so. Did I miss something.

I called and got my Case Number Yeah!!

HOWEVER.

When I asked for the Invoice Identification Number and the Beneficiary Number, the lady told me that it's not time to do anything yet. In fact and I quote she said " that is why I don't like to give those number before we are ready" That I will receive an email with the rest of the information. When I asked when approximately that will happen, she said give them 5 to 10 days. WTH!! Every body who is in the same timeline with me, @sheeskabell, @trav&shell, @matt&rocio got all three. I am going to call again in a few hours in hope for a different operator.

In the meantime, I will send in my choice of agent by email.

So pissed off!! :crying:

First congratulations!

Second you probably got cranky Lisa, she's mean! Call back right now and get your IIN and BIN. Jim was more than happy to give me all our numbers, he did say nothing is invoiced so if I logged on there would be nothing to pay.

I suggest you use 2011, 2010, and 2009.

Send a copy of 2011 return you filed.

Send Transcripts of 2010, 2009.

My situation:

I recently filed AOS with Transcripts from 2010, 2009, and 2008 and I also included a copy of 2011 return.

Result: I got a Checklist for not including 2011 amount in I-864.

Solution: I had to redo the I-864 and use Total income amount from 2011, 2010, and 2009.

The NVC "supervisor" told me that you don't necessarily need Transcript but a copy of return is fine (I don't know if this true) and since i did file 2011 and also included a copy of it. That means i had to include it.

You get what i'm saying?

I Hope this helps you in avoiding Checklist like me.

-Best Wishes :)

My wife's tax transcript of 2011 was submitted with the I-864 only the joint sponsor's 2011 was not. She ( joint sponsor ) submitted 2010,2009,2008. Monday she informed me that she just started filing her 2011 and will send it to me once it is ready. You think NVC should provide a checklist for that? after all, it is the joint sponsor 2011 that is missing not the principal sponsor.

Please don't repost the same question.

Everyone has to realise that people are in different timezones, and if you post late at night/early in the morning for the US, I CANNOT answer. I SLEEP during the night. So, please, be patient with your questions. If you're not patient, maybe I'll stop answering questions when they're posted twice... ranting33va.gif

I apologize. I thought since my post was already like 3 or 4 pages back then I would eventually get lost and I was not going to get replies about it. Sorry

You think NVC should provide a checklist for that? after all, it is the joint sponsor 2011 that is missing not the principal sponsor.

1) Your wife submitted 2011 transcript?oh i remember from other forum, she filed single. So that's why the transcript is ready.

I dont' see any problem with it.

2) Joint sponsor submitted 2010,2009, and 2008. Why? because they haven't filed 2011 tax yet? Then i don't see any problem with it also.

They joint sponsor hasn't filed 2011 tax then how will NVC ask for their 2011 tax info.

I think the main thing to remember is what ever last 3 years you include, then use those amounts in I-864.

See my problem was i included 2008, 2009, and 2010. also included "a copy of 2011 return not transcript). so i got checklist for that, they wanted me to include 2011 amount in #25.

You can try, but it might not get approved.

I had absolutely no money either when I was waiting for my visa. I had no job at all for those 9 months. But, I was living with my dad, so I didn't need to worry about rent or food or anything.

Do you live on your own?

Well, am living with mom, so don't have to worry about rent/food etc.... except for my personal expenses. I guess I'll just have to ride it out. blink.gifblink.gif

Hi everyone,

I received my NOA2 on the 16th of March and although it hasn't been a week from it yet, I call NVC once a day to see if my file is with them. Every operator asks my notice date and tells me to call in 15 work days. Do you guys give a different NOA2 date to get an answer? Or are there angelic operators who give you info regardless of your NOA2 date?

I'm sorry if this question was asked before. I've been reading the thread for like an hour but gave up after the 90th page or something :innocent:

i have the same date as you, i just call once a day. just say you are trying to see if your case has been received and give your receipt number that what i do, then they say no and i say ok thanks. few of them ask the date when you do it that way.

Hi again all...

I got my case number and IIN today (YAY!).

I want to get our DS-3032 in, and I know it should be emailed. Am I correct in understanding that I use the email template and simply send the email to the NVC inquiry email address? With no attachment or signatures at all?

I apologize for this ridiculous question, but it just feels so....weird...to not fill out some long form, and then sign and mail it.

Thanks for your help (and patience).

Grats on the case number! kicking.gif

And yes, send the DS-3032 email by following the template and send to the inquiry address. No printing, scanning, signing is necessary. I'm sure it feels weird, but that's the way to do it yes.gif

Please tell me it isn't so. Did I miss something.

I called and got my Case Number Yeah!!

HOWEVER.

When I asked for the Invoice Identification Number and the Beneficiary Number, the lady told me that it's not time to do anything yet. In the meantime, I will send in my choice of agent by email.

So pissed off!! :crying:

Grats on the case number! kicking.gif

And yes, call back and ask another operator for the IIN. Some operators just don't like giving it out for whatever reason headbonk.gif

Don't bother with the BIN; it's not needed for your case as you're NOT eligible for online forms.

I have 42 pages. I reduced it from 35mb to the 13.4mb

I have everything in a folder and in the order I need it won't be a biggie to re-scan them in a lower DPI and in black and white.

You can probably just re-scan in a lower dpi, no need to do it in black & white. You're only off by like 4 MB, the lower settings should be sufficient.

Keep in mind, when submitting tax returns, it's not just the 1040 form; it's also all the schedules (1099, etc).

And also keep in mind, depending what tax return was submitted (1040, 1040EZ), it might not always be total income.

First congratulations!

Second you probably got cranky Lisa, she's mean! Call back right now and get your IIN and BIN. Jim was more than happy to give me all our numbers, he did say nothing is invoiced so if I logged on there would be nothing to pay.

Again, not everyone needs the BIN. Only those eligible for online forms need it. All others do NOT need it whatsoever.

It's fine. 2011 tax information isn't needed yet, so it's okay. But you will need their2011 tax info for your interview.

Well, am living with mom, so don't have to worry about rent/food etc.... except for my personal expenses. I guess I'll just have to ride it out. blink.gifblink.gif

Yeah, if you're not living on your own, I'd say don't bother with the request, it will likely be denied. It's not an extreme financial hardship.

Saylin :help:

When I got our case numbers and our IIN today, I asked how all this would be sent to our lawyer the operator said by email so I didn't bother checking that they got the email address, I just assumed they did because of the answer I got.

I'd suggest calling back and confirming they have the right email addresses for the petitioner, beneficiary, and lawyer.

Okay everyone, I have the awesomest of news, if there's such a word. My husband just spoke to an operator at NVC and got the confirmation that our case is officially closed. He was so shocked, that he asked the operator if he knew what he was talking about. In reply, the operator said yes, the case if officially closed, we did try sending it to the Mumbai consulate but it bounced back as there isn't a date available for an April interview. He's asked us to call again in two weeks' time or so for a May interview date. I so hope we get an early May slot!!! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif I can't dance enough!

They joint sponsor hasn't filed 2011 tax then how will NVC ask for their 2011 tax info.

I think the main thing to remember is what ever last 3 years you include, then use those amounts in I-864.

See my problem was i included 2008, 2009, and 2010. also included "a copy of 2011 return not transcript). so i got checklist for that, they wanted me to include 2011 amount in #25.

oh ok i see. then my CC is for this friday?:dance:
