that's part of the DS-3032 kit, referenced here -> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

The bit that's useful, for an EP case headed to MTL (out of the DS-3032 kit)

is

the BIN and the AOS Fee Bill arriving in the Petitioner's Email.

Good Luck !

ANYONE? Since i'm the agent of choice that my husband sent in, can he still send the DS-230 package from spain??? what is the safer way? DHL or Fed Ex or UPS from Spain. They have all the expedited services. Also, are we sending the original AND a copy? Please don't ask me to re-read, i've re-read and am borderline pulling out my hair any help would really help.

I dont understand why they work there if they dont understand what they are saying.

Because they answer the phone for a living, they're used to doing their script every time they answer the phone...

The other day I answered my house phone "Thank you for calling X Pharmacy"... My husband laughed at me.

It doesn't matter who mails it in, as long as it gets mailed. You send original signed form, original documents (marriage/birth certificates) and photo copies of each of your certificates and a copy of the Bio page of his passport. (and anything else on the list I forgot)

Make copies of the entire package and keep one for yourself.

As for mailing it, I don't have any advice on that. I guess what ever is your choice and you're able to track.

he can send it from spain, no worries there.

I suggest Fed Ex from Spain.

He is sending original or certified copies of his civil documents

plus

photocopies of all civil documents.

Please to keep your hair, TIA !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

hahhahah, TIA, amazing, i will, just paid IV invoice and went over the entire ds230 with my hubby, who is also trying to calm me down. feeling good. he will be sending it. can't he just send two copies of everything?? including cover sheets and all that is included in the package? i am confused on which documents to copy and which to not: here is the list:

1) Cover letter stating what is in this package

2) Barcode sheet

3) DS-230 form part I (signed) and II (not signed)

4) 2 passport size photo of the beneficiary

5) Beneficiary Birth Certificate (Original)

6) Copy of Birth Certificate

7) Certified copy of our marriage Certificate

8) Copy of Certified copy of our marriage certificate

9) Original Police Certificate (only one since he has a clean record)

10) Copy of original police certificate

11) Copy of biographic page of the beneficiary's passport.

12) Beneficiary's Original Birth Certificate

13) Copy of Beneficiary's original birth certificate

Am I missing anything?

also, i DID not write my case number on all of the documents but they are all stapled as it was mentioned and then paper clipped together...will i get an RFE for the AOS??? I will tell my husband to write the case number on all documents, but there are no instructions for DS 230 as there were for AOS (and AOS DID NOT state to write case number on each page)does he write the case number on the originals?? On the NVC website it says this "You and each family member immigrating with you to the United States must submit to the NVC original documents issued by an appropriate authority, or certified copies of those documents listed in this section." So is it the originals or the copies or both??? Also, does he include DS 2001? (please don't yell at me if these questions are repetative or silly

just got mine today, after operator said at least 10 days, stupid operators. saylene is right!

Ohh, another variation of my name today laughing.gif

I'll repeat myself.. again...

In the corner it reads:

OMB approval number XXXXX-xXX

Expires: 3/31/12

That is an OMB date. The DoS has until the 31st of this month to make any updates or changes to the form. IT IS NOT AN EXPIRATION DATE! It is an internal audit date!

:bonk:Madpc.gif

I like that second emoticon ;) I feel like doing that sometimes laughing.gif

Folks Thanks for all your replies ... But None of You are Reading what I'm trying to say ... I'm not talking about the OMB date I know THAT IS NOT AN EXPIRATION DATE ... I already knew from the beginning ... PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS FOLLOWS: "PLEASE Look at the Bottom LEFT of Page 1 of the DS-230 Form and there is ANOTHER NUMBER That reads "03-2012" (That's your MOST CURRENT EDITION) of the DS-230. Right next to that CENTER Bottom SAYS: "ALL PREVIOUS EDITIONS OBSOLETE"

The previous one as of Yesterday was 02-2010 ... that one is OBSOLETE ... Dis anybody get what I was trying to say?

I'm not sure why this is confusing for you as all those dates are for the OMB, not for you. None of those dates you send are the expiration of the form itself. IGNORE the dates!

Got my case # today!!!!! Yeaaah!!!

Yay, grats! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Hi all,

Mailed my AOS package yesterday via USPS Express Mail guaranteed delivery by 12:00 noon but I don't see the USPS track and confirm updated yet. Called NVC to find out if they received it but they said that it takes atleast 20 days for us to make a decision. Didn't tell me if they received it yet or not?

Anyone else has gone through this

I know USPS takes awhile to update sometimes. They're just like the AVR headbonk.gif

And NVC won't know anything about your package until they start reviewing it. So, just keep calling NVC every day now and asking for an update on your case. Hopefully you hear something this week!

I feel the same as Kelad...got the NOA2 last week, but am overwhelmed at how long this thread is already! Thanks, though Saylin, for putting it together! I found the FAQ particularly helpful!

As long as you read the first two posts, that's what counts ;) There are indeed a lot of posts in this thread laughing.gif

Thanks much for the link.So im not getting any email from them?

Yes, you'll get the email. If you give both email addresses over, then you'll both get all correspondence. If the invoice is emailed, then it might just be the petitioner. But everything else you should receive; I did.

Being the "agent" doesn't mean you have to send in anything. It just means that NVC will mail you correspondence. But since both email addresses are given, the DS-3032 is kind of a moot form at this point.

So, you or your husband can send the IV package. Directly from the FAQ:

"Can the packages be sent from abroad or does it have to be from within the US?

Doesn't matter where the package is sent from; NVC just needs to receive it."

As for which service to you, that's up to you guys. Go with whichever one has delivery confirmation and is safest.

And yes, you're sending an original/certified copy of all civil documents as well as a color photocopy. Again, from the FAQ:

"What is needed in the IV package?

Generally, the following is needed:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Completed, signed, and dated DS-230 form by beneficiary (do NOT sign or date part 2; this is done at the interview) [note: if doing online forms (DS-260), the DS-230 is obviously not needed]

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s)

Please read: http://travel.state..../info_3195.html for additional documents if applicable.

Also read the country-specific documents linked in the first post. There may be additional documents needed not listed above."

I put those first two posts together for a reason. To HELP people.

Saylin, in case this ever crops up again.. here is the actual code in the PRA;

(h) An agency can use a form after the expiration date printed thereon (in those cases where the actual form being used contains an expiration date that would expire before the end of the use of the form)

HISTORY: [53 FR 16623, May 10, 1995; 60 FR 44978, 44987]

If we can use 'expired' federal forms to destroy/order narcotics, I'm sure they can be used to apply for a visa..

hahhahah, TIA, amazing, i will, just paid IV invoice and went over the entire ds230 with my hubby, who is also trying to calm me down. feeling good. he will be sending it. can't he just send two copies of everything?? including cover sheets and all that is included in the package? i am confused on which documents to copy and which to not: here is the list:

Make sure you have the bar-coded cover sheet first, before the cover letter. The bar-coded cover sheet has to be the first thing NVC sees.

For the passport photos, are the beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number written on the back?

I'm confused about 12+13 as it's the same thing as 5+6. Did you mean to write something else?

About writing case numbers on forms/documents: you don't HAVE to. The reason why I and other VJ members suggest it is in case a paper gets loose and gets detached from the case. If the case number is written on the top right, then it can easily be re-united. I would suggest writing the case number on all forms/documents. I did this, and mine were sent by email! As for writing it on originals/certified copies, I suggest doing it this way: write the case number on a sticky note and attach that to the top right of the civil document.

And yes, again, you include the ORIGINAL/CERTIFIED COPY of each civil document as well as a color PHOTOCOPY. The reason for this is so you can get your originals/certified copies back and USCIS will retain a copy for their own records.

DS-2001 is for K1 cases I believe...

Saylin, in case this ever crops up again.. here is the actual code in the PRA;

Do you have a link to where you found that? I'd like to bookmark that along with the forum I found earlier and posted to about the OMB, in case I ever need it for future reference when people are confused about the OMB date.

Hey guys,

What kinda pen do you guys use to sign forms such as: I-864, DS-230, I-130 etc....

I have been using black, pointy marker type pen, just to be safe.

But always thought a Blue color marker type pen looks more "legit". hmmmmm

Your thoughts?

I signed forms with blue ink.

The other day I answered my house phone "Thank you for calling X Pharmacy"... My husband laughed at me.
