Posted these q's last night as it was fresh in my head, before i forget

1. So I think i should get the Checklist email today because the Operator said it was sent out yesterday.

My 2008, 2009, and 2010 were all 1040.

I don't know why the operator was saying recent total income does not match with w2, because we don't go by W2. We go by Tax Return transcript. The Operator could not look more into it so i can get more details. Also suggested to email NVC, which i did and got an AUTO response.

I will wait for NVC checklist email before taking the next step.

Hmmm, that's strange. My W2s do not match my Total Income from Form 1040, line 22 (2011) or Tax Transcripts Total Income (2010,2009). Have you checked if you entered your "CURRENT Annual Income"? Do you think NVC is asking about this. They probably want you to enter the same amount from your 2011 W2s, as your Current Annual Income-2012. I'm guessing. Double check your form.

If you filed form 1040 or 1040A -use the Total Income, if you filed 1040ez use the adjusted gross income. That could be the problem, you entered the Adjusted Gross Income for 2008 instead of Total Income, since you file 1040. Unfortunately, members here can not see the info entered in the forms, only what you posted that you were sending so everything looked great.

I don't think you should stress about it, you still need to send your IV package. So there's no delay, your case will be completed when they get the IV package.

Looks like my Checklist for I-864 is due to not including 2011 income in the #25. What i had in I-864 #25 was 2010, 2009, and 2008. Didn't include 2011 because Transcript from IRS is not available now since i recently file the 2011 tax. They said i don't need the TRANSCRIPT! and since I included a copy 2011 1040x, i was to use that in the I-864 #25. So it would 2011, 2010, and 2009 total income in #25 in I-864. For 2011, since there isn't a Total income as there would be in IRS transcript, I was told to include the gross income amount or amount from W2, which both are same, except in 1040x, it is rounded.

Oh no my friend! I hope yours goes through. My only concern is the phrase at the bottom of page 1 that reads "Previous Editions Obsolete" which will make 02-2010 NOT GOOD anymore

Many of us had our IV packages reviewed and accepted between 02/29/12 (when the form "expired") and now so I don't think it matters very much. But if you're really worried about it you can take Saylin's suggestion and just update the pages that have the new date.

Thanks and with all due respect but what Saylin is suggesting is to either update page 1 or KEEP the one I currently have (that second suggestion unfortunately is the source of my confusion) and I see it as incorrect

If you are refering to a OMB date, you can continue using the form, it is a date that Office of Management and Budget specifies that suggested changes and auditing by the various departments needs to be completed by, in this case Department of State. OMB date is an internal audit date, not an expiration of the form.

The various consulates use and mail out forms that are much older than that.

So no problems using that form.

I understand your concern I just wanted to let you know that other people were successful using the older form. You could also call the NVC and ask them what to do if you are still confused. Good luck

not sure if this makes a difference, but there is no updaetd form it's still expired on the 29th, and to make it even funnier, just checked my choice of agent form that was accepted already, and it expired in 2006! so i don't think it's a problem this was also the case for my i-130, they take whatever is available from their website at the time

Whats even more vexing is that even if the beneficiary mails you back the new edition signed/dated, who knows by the time you get it there may be a newer edition, especially(Part 2 because it still has 2/29/2012 date)

and Part 2 bottom also says previous Editions obsolete

Since i already mailed mine today, lets see next week.

After getting Checklist from AOS, i was a bit hurt but i'm over that now and now i'm not that much afraid of getting another checklist, i'll just fix it and mail it back.
