We just got a checklist for the IV fee. unsure.gifunsure.gifunsure.gif What's funnier is that the payment portal shows PAID wacko.gifwacko.gifwacko.gifwacko.gif

The message reads as below:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: xxx, xxxxx

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______FEE PAYMENT:_________________________________________________

We are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa fee payment(s). Please submit the fee payment(s) according

to the instructions on the IV fee bill sent to you from NVC. DO NOT SEND FEE PAYMENTS TO

THE NVC NEW HAMPSHIRE FACILITY. THIS WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF THE VISA. If

you have not received an IV fee bill, please contact NVC. Do not pay the fees unless you have the

accompanying IV fee bill as this will result in a delay in processing your case.

This was probably generated when they got your AOS package last week. It's automatically done, so just ignore this.

just got the email with the choice of agent form and our case #, inn... from the NVC. can I just send them an email with the choice of agent information that´s somewhere on VJ? or do i have to print it, sign it, scan it and send it then?

Grats on getting your case number! kicking.gif

Nope, no need to print, sign, and scan it. Simply follow the email template linked in the first post.

An email would suffice. For the template, go the first page of this thread and check the links Saylin has put up there.

ok, i just sent it. i know i´ll get the automated responce, but how long does it normally take until they accept it? we also got the payment information for the aos. i´m pretty sure my husband will pay it tonight when he comes home. do we have to wait for the nvc to accept the c hoice of agent form before we can pay the IV fee?

oh, what routing number do i need for the payment? my bank account shows 2: "paper& electronic" or "wires"

It took eight days for us as well as a few others I know. Luck of the draw, I guess, but shouldn't take too long. You can go ahead and pay the AOS. The second half of the question, I'll leave for someone else to answer, as I'm the beneficiary and not aware of how it's done.

Salin,

Is it going to be an issue that I have the DS-230 ready to go but they JUST posted the new edition/update of the form today?

It shouldn't be, no. They should still accept it. If you want to play it on the safe side, just transfer all the information to the new DS-230.

Please read the first two posts; they contain valuable information.

Current wait times for DS-3032 to be accepted are around 10 days, looking at previous members.

And the IV fee CANNOT be invoiced until the DS-3032 has been accepted, so...

Please read this page for information on paying through the payment portal: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3906.html

Our joint sponsor didn t include 2011 tax in the document she sends to my wife house as she has not filed her 2011 yet but she gave employment letter and 2008, 2009, 2011 tax return transcripts. We called this morning and NVC says that we will get a checklist if my joint sponsorr do not submit 2011, but my wife did. Should I rely on what tht the operator says? We mailed AOS today.

If she didn't file 2011 how did she get a transcript, do you mean 2008, 2009 and 2010 transcripts?

if she hasn't filed 2011 you have nothing to send them until she does file.

Beneficiary is choosing an agent.

DS-230 is not the choice of agent. It's the immigration application, which is filled out by the beneficiary.

If the cover letter you're talking about is the list of documents contained in the package that Saylin recommends including (not the bar code page and not the DS-230 itself), then that's just an informal document that can be done by whomever. Probably best to have the beneficiary "sign" it just for consistency since the DS-230 is coming from them, but we didn't even sign our cover letters at all.

hi guys URGENNT who does the DS-230 cover letter, petioner? or beneficiary?

Preferably the beneficiary as the IV package is all about them. I wrote my own and signed it. I wrote the AOS cover letter too, but obviously made my husband sign it laughing.gif

Oh, when did you get your case number? You need to update your signature :P

And it should be okay putting his name as the owner.

These are basic info. listed by Saylin on page 1 (Read post 1 & 2)

There's two different things.

The bar-coded cover SHEET from the payment portal.

and

The cover LETTER written by the petitioner/beneficiary, stating the purpose of the package and what the contents are inside.
