Call back and request the IIN and BIN. You can get this from an operator.

And yes, you can send the request now since you have a case number.

Saylin- question: can I call visa specialist to get information on my case, do they have the same info as NVC? I am thinking I can but just want to reassure myself.

Yup, definitely call DOS. They have information on your case; they can see what NVC does as well as the consulate/embassy.

Hey guys,

What kinda pen do you guys use to sign forms such as: I-864, DS-230, I-130 etc....

I have been using black, pointy marker type pen, just to be safe.

But always thought a Blue color marker type pen looks more "legit". hmmmmm

Your thoughts?

They always send that info by email. But if you want to be on top of things, get that info. You need it to sign into the payment portal and to fill in the DS-261. Granted, since you're sending an expedite request, then you can just wait for the email since you have to wait to hear of the request decision.

That would be awesome. a perfect gift for her.

I gave up for an April interview, I'm really hoping for May. NVC said that they schedule the 1st 2 weeks of every month for the following month....I'm at 12 days waiting period, this is as painful as waiting for NOA2. :( Maybe I should plan for a trip as well?!

Yeah this waiting for the interview date is the worst waiting period so far... :crying:

So glad to be a part of this thread!! Just got my NOA2 approval notification last night. Question. My husband's medical is scheduled for March 26th. We pre-planned due to the doctor's office being booked up for 2 months. What are the chances of us getting the case number within the next 5 days? Can we provide the case number to doctor to proceed with the medical or does my husband need to provide a letter from NVC?

OMG, I will get you guys straighten out some day....I promise!!! Glad that he'll be there. Are you excited? Do you live by Paris or do you have to travel? I know the 95/les HLM (ghetto) and Barbes....that's all!

I live about 500 km south-east of Paris, so we have to travel there by train the day before. I'm not really excited right now, I'm trying not to think about it too much, otherwise I'll just wet my pants... I know our relationship is legit and we have a lot of evidence for that, but I'm still scared something could go wrong with the paperwork.

Saylin- question: can I call visa specialist to get information on my case, do they have the same info as NVC? I am thinking I can but just want to reassure myself.

They'll be able to tell you if an interview date was assigned or if your case was sent to the embassy yet. Please, come report your impression about your first call to DOS. Good luck :content:

She ask me first my name and date of birth then my husband's name and date of bith then she check the ph number. After that she give me the case no.I asked her are'nt you gonna ask for the mailing adress and she ask me if is different from the form?I said no then she said she is gonna send the IIN and BIn through email after couple days.

Should i send the Expediate request now Saylin?

Try not to let these guys manage the call, ask precise questions and demand things to be done, otherwise they'll just mess up with your brain: call back, say you want to provide the email addresses for BOTH the beneficiary AND the petitioner (in the I-130 package the beneficiary's email address is never mentioned, so they don't have it), then ask for the Invoice Identification Number and the Beneficiary Identification Number (don't say IIN and BIN, they wouldn't understand). If they don't have them yet, call back tomorrow.

And yes I think you should request your expedite now. Later would be too late.

You're going to be extremely lucky if you get it that soon. Lately, it's been taking almost 2 weeks. Check out my spreadsheet in my signature to see recent trends. Someone JUST got their case number now and their NOA2 date is 3/1.

And I don't know how the panel physicians works in India. I'm surprised they let you book a date without even being at NVC first.

So after i send the expediate request and wait for the decision can i log int payment portal and pay AOS fee as well as submit DS-261?What do you suggest? And just to let you that you are very lucky for me as well as all of us.Thaks so much.Ur Husband is very lucky,he got an angel.

If you have the IIN, then yes, you can log into the payment portal. But I'm not sure if you want to pay bills right away since if your expedite request is approved, you won't be sending anything into NVC.

Just focus on giving the email addresses to NVC and then sending in the expedite request.
