Yeah, I've got my homework on one screen, and my hotmail and this March thread in another screen. I flip back and forth constantly.

I'm so glad I don't have internet at work (I'm a food service member at a restaurant in Target, so kinda hard to do this actually), otherwise I'd be focusing more on VJ than work

Saylin so Steph n I are both trying to find out asap what our interview dates are thanks to school finals schedule we need to go around everything now if cases are set for April...ahhhh... but anyways I looked into about 4 pages of DR members and most had packet 4(interview date) assigned before docs arrived at embassy...weird...ahhh sitting and waiting unpatiently can you tell...

Well, of course! That's how it works for most countries! You get the date assigned by NVC first, you then receive the interview letter by email a few hours later, and then the next day (usually, but not always), the case is shipped to the foreign country. There's very FEW countries which do the opposite, where the case is sent out FIRST, and then an interview date is assigned by the consulate/embassy.

Sorry! I just added you! There's so many people in this thread it's hard to keep up with who's on it, who's not, and who sent stuff. Friendly reminders like yours are very welcome since the more people on it, the better.

Well, of course it's confusing. You need the date NVC sent out your case. And unless the DR is different, it'll only happen AFTER an interview date has been assigned.

Does it state this:

"All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified."

If so, then YES, that's the CASE COMPLETE email!!! Grats!!

What? Where do they specifically tell you not to resend? Today I made an error and found a draft waiting to be sent out.

The draft had this in the body, as well as the same documents:

***NOTE*: The previous e-mail I sent NVC on March 16th with my AOS forms contained

a typographic error under the Petitioner's D.O.B. - it should have been "June 4, 1986."

I am resending this e-mail to confirm that all documents sent in both this e-mail and

the last (identical) e-mail are all correct; and that NVC has the correct D.O.B. The only

error made was mine that was in the body of the previous e-mail, used to confirm the

sender of the e-mail. Please proceed with processing/uploading all documents sent in

either the previous "AOS Forms" e-mail I sent on March 16th or those attached in this

e-mail.

Damnit. I clicked send accidentally then figured it didn't make that much difference.

Even Saylin suggested I resend the AOS. (Not blaming you at all )

Oh well, time to call them up and try to explain this to some grumpy person.

Okay, called up NVC (Apparently, most of the females keep their cool better than the males, lol)

They assured me this second e-mail with the AOS attachments won't confuse anybody and

that they are currently processing all the docs I sent out in the first.

Puts me at ease.

Well that is comforting to know! I would have thought the email would be generated and sent at least a day or two after the interview is scheduled. Thanks Saylin!

After waiting for about 18 min to talk to an Operator, finally picks up but the line drops while talking

Happened yesterday also while waiting. What gives?

Do you guys know how long it takes to receive the Checklist email? It was sent out for me yesterday, still haven't received it.
