Assets can help if the primary sponsor is a little under the income requirement. For assests to count, but must have the ability to be liquidated quickly (1 yr or less). If being used to help prop up the income they have to be 3x the amount of the income gap.

If you have a joint sponsor, and that person meets all the requirements, then there's no need to use assets.

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

Sent AOS package by E-MAIL, but in the body of the e-mail I had a typo on my petitioner date of birth.

They sent an e-mail confirming this, saying:

The petitioner's date of birth provided with your request does not match our records. If you believe that the date of birth in our records is incorrect please submit a copy of a government issued document indicating the correct date of birth (i.e. valid passport or birth certificate). The document must include the day, month, and year of birth.

So, does this mean I have to resend the AOS through e-mail?
