Yes, that's why I suggested calling. But what you have should be sufficient for them.

And yes, you should be able to call them about inquiries. If not, you could always email them as well (include all your info in the email: USCIS number, names, DOBs, emails).

Good Morning,

I am I-130, IR-5 petitioner. I am still waiting on NOA2 (hopefully early April) but want to prepare all documents for NVC in advance. So, for DS-230 I have to provide my (petitioner's)marriage certificate for the current and all previous marriages. However, I do not have my marriage certificates for previous ones. My question is, do I really need to send the marriage certificates or the divorce decrees (which I have) would be enough? Anyone with the same experience? I appreciate your help!

I provided my current marriage certificate and divorce decree absolute certificate. I don't have previous marriage certificate as they have to be surrendered when applying for a divorce. No questions asked by NVC.

Keep in mind, there's different requirements for IR-1/CR-1 and IR-5 applicants. For IR-5, the petitioner has to include marriage certificates along with the beneficiary's.

I've made my 2nd of 3 calls today with no results. J.R. actually asked my name and date of birth, and then corrected himself when I started giving the info. He didn't give me a timeframe but explained "My system's automated to prompt me to ask those things, but obviously I don't have any further information." Hopes up, and then dashed...

Oddly, I'm feeling pretty disheartened with the process, but sure won't give up. I just miss Trav, that's all!

Your Sig says you mailed ds-3032, did you eman emailed?

If so, then we both emailed same day. Hope we get it soon ! ready to pay IV also !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish they'd maybe make it a prerequisite of their job that all NVC and USCIS employees must be forcibly separated from their loved ones for a year, see how they like it. Of course, that'll never happen - they don't want to disrupt their families :rofl:
